Beyond the victory lies a story of resilience, love, identity and hope.

As part of our REELway X OFFA Award Winners Series, Shwayta Sharma spoke with writer, director and producer Giacomo Moncada to explore the heart behind ‘Blindly VICTORIOUS’, the powerful story of .rower Victoria Nolan’s journey from losing her sight and independence to rediscovering herself through rowing. Actress Watson Rose portrayed Victoria in this film with such nuance and utmost sensitivity.

The film premiered at Oakville Festivals of Film & Art , where it received the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature. In our conversation, Moncada shares the emotional truth behind bringing Victoria’s story to the screen, the challenges of portraying blindness, and why the film is ultimately about so much more than sport.

From brotherly antics to *1.5+ BILLION views* and a community of *3.3 million followers*, (Twin Pranks) has turned their natural twin chemistry and love of making people laugh into a TikTok success story.

In our latest REELway feature, Martin and Josip Kristo chat with (Rachel Martin) about their journey from creating videos during the pandemic to becoming one of Canada’s biggest creator duos, navigating personal loss, platform setbacks, viral success, and the opportunities that have taken them from social media to major events and red carpets.

We're excited to launch the first interview in REELway's and Oakville Festivals of Film & Art’s *OFFA Award Winners Series* which is a new partnership celebrating and showcasing the talented Canadian filmmakers recognized at this year's festival.

Kicking off the series is filmmaker ‘Molly Ruby’ whose film 'The Little Town That Could' won both the 'Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film' and 'Best Student Film' at the 2026 OFFA.
