Here's the biggest thing I need you to know:
Most people are doing better than they think.

When all is said and done with this career I am certain I will be most grateful that I had this front row seat to people building things they care about.

Keep building friends...but please also remember that progress still counts even when you don't feel "done".

I had a small running injury set me back a bit this October. Since then, it's been a lot of physio, cycling workouts instead of running workouts, and a lot of shorter easy runs.

Today my coach gave me the green light to RUN.

It was equally one of the most awful (lol) runs and one of my proudest & happiest.

This has been my first injury that has caused me to stop running (maybe I am getting older? Ha). And it taught me so much more than to stretch and take strength seriously. 💀

It taught me patience. I couldn't just "work harder" or "put more time in" to fix this. I needed rest.

It taught me to enjoy what inspires me. To slow down long enough to acknowledge it.

It taught me to be grateful for what I have and what I am able to do (in running yes, but mostly in life).

Maybe you're used to just "pushing through" and juggling it all too. This pause helped me learn that you can't "hustle" your way through everything.

Sometimes what we need is pause. A reset. Time.

Now here I am recognizing the tiny wins. A pain free run. Shutting off my computer for an entire Sunday. Or playing a board game with my kids (this has turned into a regular evening activity. It takes 15 minutes. Why did i always say no before?).

And man alive .. i am happy.

Its hard to explain the feeling of this sport. But my gosh its such much more than a sport.
