Why is it that I can have TWO WEEKS to do something… but suddenly become the most productive human alive when there are 45 minutes left? 😅
For some people with ADHD, urgency can be a powerful motivator.
A distant deadline might barely register, but once that deadline gets close? Suddenly the brain goes, “WAIT. THIS IS REAL.”
And just like that, we’re locked in. Focused. Moving at warp speed. 🚀
It’s not necessarily about being lazy or not caring. ADHD can affect motivation, time perception, and task initiation, which can make urgency feel like the switch that finally turns the task ON.
Anyone else need the deadline to be practically breathing down their neck before their brain decides it’s GO TIME? 😂
