Nearly 9 metres up. 😅

Cleaning the highest windows at The Barn needed something a little smarter than a ladder and a bucket.

We’re using a 9m carbon water-fed pole with a de-ionisation system. The water passes through special resin that removes the dissolved minerals, bringing it down to 0 TDS.

Then it’s simple — scrub, rinse and let it dry naturally. No squeegee and no water spots.

One more job ticked off at The Barn. 🌿

Meet Larry 🦎 — our resident lace monitor (Varanus varius) here at The Barn in the Daintree Rainforest.

While we’re busy restoring our off-grid home, Larry prefers a slower approach: sunbathing on the bedroom balcony, occasionally climbing a tree, and generally doing absolutely nothing. 😂

Just another Saturday in the Daintree. 🌿

A lizard hanging out on our bedroom balcony, Declan heading down to the beach and coming back with dinner, and Iwona turning the catch into fresh fish soup. 🎣🥣

Nothing fancy. Nothing planned.

Just one of those simple days that makes us realise why we chose this life.
