โจ๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ง๐ฎ ๐๐๐ข๐: ๐๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐จ๐ฉ, ๐ฝ๐ช๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฟ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐๐
Iโm not a bachelorโs degree holder or a professional graduate. I didnโt finish college or university in the Philippines because my parents couldnโt afford to send me. ๐
But I found a way. By Godโs mercy and the kindness of others, I worked as a house helperโand my boss allowed me to study a 2-year course while working. ๐ It wasnโt easyโhard, tiring, and there were moments I wanted to quit. But with encouragement from people who believed in me (like Ate Wenonah ๐), I kept pushing through.
Yes, I had relatives who spoke negatively about me. But instead of letting it break me, I turned their words into fuel. ๐ช Iโm thankful for them too, because they made me stronger and gave me the reason to do more.
I didnโt have a scholarship because I wasnโt the smartest student. I couldnโt be a full-time student either, because survival had to come first. Sometimes, I didnโt even have money to go homeโI just hoped I could borrow from a kind classmate (thank you, Rica ๐).
Then came Canada. ๐จ๐ฆ Before I could take a course here, I was told I needed to pass the Accuplacer test. But one day, I received an email from the school: โYour College Algebra grade waives the Accuplacer test.โ ๐ I was so thankfulโmy 2-year course from the Philippines saved me! That moment reminded me that nothing is ever wasted. Every sacrifice, every effortโit all counts in the right time. โจ
And hereโs what Iโve learned: success isnโt about being the โbrightest.โ Itโs about determination, faith, and never letting circumstances define your future. ๐
To anyone strugglingโplease donโt be ashamed of your journey. Your story, no matter how hard, can inspire someone else. Keep going. Youโll be amazed at how far you can go with persistence and faith. ๐
