Sometimes a lesson turns into a little drum session. 🥁🤍

I love giving students the freedom to explore music in different ways. Sometimes that means singing a song, sometimes it means picking up a guitar, and sometimes it means sitting behind the drums and just having some fun!

Music does not always have to be about getting everything right. There is so much value in experimenting, being curious, making some noise, and simply enjoying the experience.

That playful exploration is where creativity grows. 🎶

At Sing A Song That’s Yours, voice is at the heart of what I teach, but students can also explore basic guitar and drums when it fits their interests and goals.

Because sometimes the best musical moments are the ones that happen completely spontaneously. 🤍

Starting fresh in Calgary has been such a meaningful new chapter, and I am so excited to continue growing my studio here in Northeast Calgary.

I welcome children, teens, and adults at every experience level. Whether you are just beginning, preparing for a performance, building confidence, or simply looking for a creative outlet, each lesson is personalized to meet you where you are.

A little Wednesday reminder that progress does not always happen under perfect circumstances.

Sometimes it looks like showing up tired.
Sometimes it means adjusting the plan.
Sometimes it means bringing your baby along because learning and growing still matter to you.

I have always admired the dedication of students who continue making space for music in the middle of busy, full lives.

You do not need the perfect schedule or the perfect season to keep pursuing something that brings you joy. You simply keep showing up however you can.

There is something so special about watching a student step beyond the lesson room and share their voice with a crowd. 🤍

I had the privilege of watching Hannah sing O Canada at a hockey game, and she did such a wonderful job!

Seeing her confidently step out, take on new opportunities, and continue expanding as a singer made me incredibly proud.

As a voice teacher, you spend so much time working on the little things, technique, expression, confidence, preparation but then you get moments like this, when you can step back and watch your student bring it all together.

Watching students grow into their voices and discover what they are capable of will always be one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Way to go, Hannah! You absolutely shone out there. 🇨🇦🎶
