Bronwyn Bragg is a human geographer and an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Lethbridge. She has a PhD in geography from the University of British Columbia. Bronwyn's research expertise is on Canadian immigration policy, precarious work and the lives and livelihoods of immigrants to Canada. She has a book forthcoming in November 2026 on refugee families in Calgary.
Aida Bahhur is a Human Resources and Labour Relations professional with a background in supporting newcomers and refugees as they navigate Canada’s workforce. Her work has given her firsthand insight into the discrimination, systemic barriers, and challenges newcomers can face when building their lives and careers in Canada. She now works in labour relations, advocating for workers and bringing a perspective grounded in workplace rights, inclusion, and the belief that meaningful integration begins with being seen, heard, and treated with dignity.
