Something needs to be done!

Enough is Enough!

Upon the conclusion of our meeting yesterday with Paladin Airport Security Services (PASS), Unifor is doubtful that the employer has the intention of addressing any of the ongoing and unacceptable working conditions that we have outlined on multiple occasions.

"For more than 16 months, Unifor members working for PASS have been denied proper breaks, access to washrooms, and drinking water," said Unifor National President Lana Payne.

"This type of callous behaviour is unacceptable. In 2025, how can any employer in Canada deny workers such basic needs? Enough is enough."

Paladin airport screening officers, training specialists and team leaders, are demanding more from an employer whose contract is worth over $1 billion.

PLEASE READ ‼️
I love my job, but the conditions we are forced to work in are unacceptable, especially for a developed nation such as Canada!!

When you read the description of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal # 8 — “Decent work, employment creation, social protection, rights at work and social dialogue represent integral elements of the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” — my employer is missing the mark when it comes to our rights at work and social protection. Our well-being is not a concern, nor priority for them as you can see. But we still do our best to protect the travelling public because we care.

Please share this letter to help us garner as much support as possible. We deserve better.

If you know me, you know that I ALWAYS make my dreams a reality ✨ and this is a dream I can’t wait to experience!

After a two year hiatus from pageantry I’m happy to announce my return to the stage! In a couple weeks I’ll have the pleasure and great opportunity to compete at Miss International Canada 2025 🇨🇦 The Miss International Organization is a pageant system I have followed and dreamed of competing in for many years! I love their dedication to uplifting women, promoting the beauty of Japanese culture and advocating for the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

My advocacy is dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goal # 3 - Good Health & Well-Being. This goal desires to ensure healthy lives and the promotion of well-being for all at all ages. For many years I have been promoting wellness of the mind, body and soul on my social media and in every day life. I took my passion for wellness and created ‘The Elevyn Mindset’ 💭 a platform designed to inspire and motivate people to live healthier lives.

Thank you to the team at Miss International Canada for giving me this once in a lifetime chance to win the crown.
