Kristen + Nick win for most tears 💦 shed at a wedding 🥇

Their love for each other, their families and friends was palpable throughout the entire day.

I often experience people at weddings apologizing for crying or hear them say, “I promised myself I wouldn’t cry”. I always assure them that feeling your emotions is beautiful, important and normal!

So let those tears of joy or sorrow flow!

Greg: [Love means] I want to be with someone all the time.

Brie: "Love is when [you] care for someone and when you make them smile and you give them a hug and tell them you love them. Love is kind."

Did you know anyone can be born with Down syndrome? Today March 21st is the day we shout from the rooftops to raise awareness and teach others about !

The photo series “Love Means” by does just that!

Hilary’s work breaks down stereotypes about people living with exceptionalities.

So here’s a lesson from that we can all practice in our daily lives:

Avoid using stereotypes and generalizations when referring to people with Down syndrome.

People with Down syndrome can experience lots of emotions; they can feel happy, angry, frustrated, excited, or sad.

Some like to sing and dance and others can be shy and quiet.

People with Down syndrome are different sizes and shapes; they can feel and do many of the same things as you!

I’d add don’t put any limits on their potential- do some googling and you’ll find amazing gymnasts, models, students, artists and more!

The FA-SHUN was unreal at J + A’s big day .

The details were so sweet, reflecting their love story and travels.

AND it was a beautiful day despite missing family, who weren’t able to make it from around the world.

We worked with to capture photo + video of this super special wedding day.

Matt once memorized Ogden Nash’s poem, Tin Wedding Whistle, to impress me 😉 because he said it reminded him of our relationship.

After hearing about how the pandemic only brought Alessia + Adriano closer together: gourmet meals on the couch, dreaming of their one-day honeymoon on open browser tabs and sharing space to work at home, the poem now reminds me of them too. Here’s an excerpt:

“Though you know it anyhow
Listen to me, darling, now,
Proving what I need not prove
How I know I love you, love.
Near and far, near and far,
I am happy where you are;
Likewise I have never larnt
How to be it where you aren't.
Far and wide, far and wide,
I can walk with you beside;
Furthermore, I tell you what,
I sit and sulk where you are not.

We are looking for a videographer with their own Sony gear to be a second shooter on an NGO project for 14-20 hours, $700-1000 dollars, the week of January 3 2022

After I screened my film, masters thesis film, Mistissini Healing, my very first documentary professor wrote me a review, “If you keep this up, your films will end up playing in church basements.”
Um, thanks?
Well, I do screen The Survivors, in churches, retirement homes, classrooms, offices, theatres, basically anywhere there are people willing to listen, learn and pursue .
Like said last night, “Reconciliation isn’t a race.”
🧡And we’re in it for the long haul.
Thank you to all our local leaders, friends, members of Central Church and volunteers who made last night happen.
We had an intimate and deeply moving zoom chat with the Conquerors from the film.
