Hey guys, I never wanted to be political in this page but with all what’s happening right now, everyone needs to unite and help each other. Since I have some followers, I think I’ll be able to reach a decent amount of people with this platform. What’s happening not only in the U.S. is bigger than me, nay all of us.
Being a person of colour living in a country where I’m part of the minority, I’ve had my fair share of racism from a lot of people. I am not going into detail with that because every time I think about it, it hurts me. It hurts me not because of what happened to me, but because I keep thinking of people that have it worse and how they die and keep dying without having any justice being served.
Before you judge and turn a blind eye, you need to educate yourself first. It’s not other people’s responsibility to educate you. Don’t be afraid to change your opinion on something because you learned new information. If you don’t change your opinion or even at least try to have an open mind about it then consider yourself a hypocrite and you’re more than welcome to unfollow me. I know some of you will think that you don’t have to do anything because it doesn’t affect you, that’s called privilege. What if that happened to a family member of yours? Just think about that for a minute. Will you still be silent about all of this or will you just change your mind then?
