AD | The best way to see PEI? Fly into YYG and get the most out of your time on Prince Edward Island!

The Charlottetown Alexander B. Campbell Airport is a welcoming, easy-to-navigate gateway to the Island and flying meant more time for us to actually enjoy PEI.

The airport is extremely easy to navigate and has some pretty incredible views on the way in. During departure, you can make use of the outdoor seating area and watch as the planes come and go!

We spent a couple of days exploring the City by the Sea and packed in a little bit of everything… good food, live music, time on the water, local shopping and plenty of those Prince Edward Island spectacular views.

📍 Walk the Bayside boardwalk (many times)
🏨 Stay at Quality Inn & Suites Summerside Quality Inn & Suites, Summerside PEI
🏊‍♂️ Hang out by the pool and the pool bar, or play a round of golf at the Quality Inn & Suites Summerside
🍹 Margarita Mondays + tacos at The Knot Beach Bar & Rentals PEI
☕ Breakfast/brunch and coffee at Samuels Coffee House
🏄 Rent paddleboards from The Knot
🛍️ Explore the shops in DowntownSummerside like Art Buds Celtic Mist and Vintage
⚓ Shop + grab a bite at Spinnakers’ Landing
🍺 PEI mussels, a flight, dinner and live music at Evermoore: Island Dining & Brewery

And yes, we officially tried PEI mussels for the first time at Evermoore… and we both loved them! That’s what we call ✨ a traveller, not a tourist. ✨

Summerside ended up being such a fun addition to our PEI trip and a great way to wrap it up. It’s walkable, right on the water and there’s so much more to do than we expected. The boardwalk really impressed us, having that much water access is goals!

The Darnley House - PEI is lovely! This short-term rental near Kensington, PEI has such a warm, thoughtful feel to it.. from the beautiful interiors to practical amenities like a washer/dryer, hot tub and an expansive private yard.

We spent the evening cooking dinner (PEI potatoes included, obviously 🥔) and then did a little exploring the area by foot. We enjoyed a quiet night in before waking up early for a soak in the hot tub and to explore more of the area.

It’s comfortable, quiet, beautifully cared for and just minutes from Thunder Cove Beach and PEI’s iconic red cliffs. It really is a spot made for slowing down!

The Great George Hotel has got a good thing going!✨

It’s no surprise this boutique hotel has welcomed some pretty iconic guests over the years. With its historic charm, beautiful spaces and a location right in the heart of Charlottetown, it made the perfect home base for our first time in PEI.

From cozy guest rooms and spacious suites to full condos, there’s a stay for just about every kind of trip… and we loved getting to experience it for ourselves.

A big thank you to The Great George Hotel for hosting us and making our stay in Charlottetown such a memorable one!
