So, we've had a most interesting and somewhat disheartening first week promoting "Canada Is Not the 51st F**king State" on FB.
According to the "likes" for our post, support for Canada’s sovereignty is much greater than the resistance (1100 in favour to 175 opposed). But you would think, in looking at just comments, those numbers were the reverse. It’s shocking and disheartening to see the opposition's hatred directed at us personally and more importantly at our beautiful country - Canada!
For whatever reason, the detractors have decided that supporting Trump and Trump-like ideas makes it okay to attack fellow Canadians with the rudest of prejudice.
Somewhere north of 90% of the comments are from those who are opposed to the book. This is, of course in itself not a problem until their comments become unnecessarily hateful and mean spirited. We have been called Liberal c**k suckers, libtards, fascists and communists at the same time (?), drug addicted hippies, etc., to being told to take our book and shove it up our butts. Oh, and apparently we suffer from some made up illness called, TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome.)
We deleted the extra rude comments....as for the rest we defended ourselves and our country to the best of our ability. Here's the link to the original post, should anyone feel like having a scroll down that ugly lane:

Sooooo...let's be clear! Canada Is Not the 51st F**king State IS NOT about the Liberal party or party politics at all!
Canada Is Not the 51st F**king State is about resisting Trump's aggression and his 51st state taunts. PERIOD!
One final thing to point out about the book: it takes care to point out that there is no axe to grind with Americans (at least
not with those who did not vote for Trump). Tens of millions of good people live in the United States - some of whom are friends
and family. We hope that one day the US government will work at mending fences with Canada.

Finally, We LOVE Canada and care deeply for our country, and our community AND we definitely DO NOT want to become AMERICAN!
