El Sistema partners with Peabody!

We’re proud to continue our collaboration with the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, offering up to two full cost of attendance fellowships for students from El Sistema USA member programs.

The Bachelor of Music program at Peabody prepares students for careers in performance, composition, education, music technology, and more—while providing career development support through Launchpad.

El Sistema USA® is proud to celebrate Zabdiel Correa as the 2025 recipient of the El Sistema USA Fellowship at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, a full cost of attendance undergraduate scholarship.

Zabdiel is a student at the El Sistema USA member organization, the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Puerto Rico de Música y País. He was selected for this opportunity based on his artistic excellence. As a Fellow, he will pursue a Bachelor of Music degree at Peabody and participate in professional development through Launchpad, Peabody’s career services initiative.

Zabdiel is a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Música de San Juan and recipient of the 18th Ricardo Morales Scholarship. He has performed as a soloist at the Sala Sinfónica Pablo Casals and the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, and had his first professional orchestra experience with La Filarmónica de Puerto Rico.

Who we are besides being musicians:

Jon Bon Jovi wakes up early to start his 4 charity restaurants and help those who need it the most. He cleans the kitchen, prepares the dishes and serves them. He helps out in whatever way he can and he's not ashamed.

No matter what you want to do in life, be passionate. Believe in love. Believe in magic. Believe in others. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams. If you don't, who will?
