Gay Lea has released a press release stating that there is a potential buyer for Thornloe Cheese! While this statement isn't binding, we are hopefully that it is a step in the right direction! 🧀 Please check out the following link for the news report from CTV

The owner of Thornloe Cheese announced Wednesday it has a tentative agreement in place to sell the northern Ontario cheesemaker to Mississauga-based Triple ‘A’ Cheese.

We've been quiet here.. We were informed lated last year by Gay Lea Foods Co-operative Ltd. that they were in discussions with a potential buyer/buyers and continued harassment on social media would be counterproductive to the negations.
As the local community was highly invested and emotionally charged it was felt that it was best to not continue to stir the pot at this point in time. We sincerely hope Gay Lea has the best interest of Thornloe cheese and our entire region at heart during this time. We will keep you posted with any news that we hear, and rest assured that if a ruckus needs to be raised, we will all fight hard!!
