What a spectacular day for basketball fans! The Medina Elite Cup Basketball League reached its final showdown — where passion, pride, and pure Filipino talent collided on the court! 🏀💪

In the Master Division 2 Finals, it’s Wood Buffalo of Fort McMurray battling it out against Al’s Kitchen of Saskatoon — a clash of veterans, skills, and heart! 💥 Every shot, every steal, every fast break screamed determination!

And for the Master Division Finals, Mattamy Homes Calgary faced DDS Square Edmonton, proving that age is just a number when your game is all heart! ❤️🔥

🏆 From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, this league wasn’t just about basketball — it was about brotherhood, sportsmanship, and community pride.

To all the teams, coaches, organizers, sponsors, and our ever-energetic crowd — SALUTE! 👏👏👏 You made this event unforgettable.

Day One of the Medina Elite Cup Basketball League 2025 🏀🔥 — the Open Division 2 tipped off with absolute fire! 💥

On one side of the court, it was Ultimate Cleaning Services from Calgary scrubbing out the competition against the tough DOF squad from Edmonton! 💪 Every possession was a grind, every basket earned!

Meanwhile, the battle on the other side was just as electric — Gilas Grand Prairie clashing head-to-head with Dave’s Auto from Lloydminster! 🚗⚡ Fast breaks, deep threes, and pure heart from both sides!

The crowd was loud, the energy unstoppable, and this is just Day One! 😤 Who’s gonna dominate and make it to the finals? Stay tuned — the Medina Elite Cup 2025 is just heating up! 🔥🏆

🏀 A Historical Moment – Medina Elite Cup Day One 🏀

What a truly spectacular day! The opening of the Medina Elite Cup marks another unforgettable chapter in our community’s basketball history. From the energy on the court to the unity in the crowd, this event proves once again that sports can bring people together like nothing else can.

We proudly welcomed all teams, coaches, and guests who came with passion and sportsmanship. A big shout-out to McLain Catering for the delicious food that fueled everyone’s excitement, and to Mackie for keeping the vibe alive with amazing sounds!

We were also honored by the presence of Tim Cartmell, running for Mayor, and Councillor Nicky Gocuan, who both showed their support for local sports and community growth.

Special thanks to our media partners, Mo Billacura and yours truly Mr. BTK, along with all the organizers, referees, and committee members who made this possible and also to coach Chester Tiongson ,Garry Perpetua .
This is not just another basketball event — this is history in the making. The Medina Elite Cup stands as a symbol of teamwork, unity, and Filipino pride in Edmonton. And this… is only Day One. The journey to greatness has just begun!

Help us honor the brave men and women who serve our communities every day — firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and more. This exciting event brings families together for a great cause, combining the thrill of basketball with the awe of big trucks and emergency vehicles!
