Turkey thighs! I braised 2 in butter chicken sauce, the other two in barbecue sauce, then crisped up the skin under the broiler. The butter chicken sauce is from a jar (which I never do) but after a night of coaching softball, it was nice have something healthy and fall-off-the-bone, ready for when we got home. Which would you try first?

20oz ribeye (a “rotten rack” special), 3 hour sous-vide with rosemary, thyme, garlic, kosher salt, and fresh cracked pepper. Seared on home-rendered tallow on cast iron. Blanched fiddleheads, tossed with olive oil and truffle salt. Also 6 random grape tomatoes, haphazardly inserted into the dish last minute… to make the picture look cool. 😂

I was never a wrestling fan but that Hulk Hogan doc on Netflix caught my interest. He was a polarizing figure (to say the least), but his charisma captured the hearts of a nation. I didn’t realize he was so BIG — 6’8? 300lbs?!? His biceps were 24”. I’m a lean 230lbs (and not enhanced)… my “python” is barely 16 & 3/4 at best. I guess the upshot is if you’re bragging about a “python” that size, it better be in your pants. 😂

Beef heart, 24 hour sous-vide, kosher salt, fresh garlic, onion, dried mushrooms, fresh sage… seared on cast iron, in home-rendered tallow. The salad is micro greens with… honestly, all the veggies I neglected in my fridge this week. 😂🤦‍♂️

Spicy homemade bison meatballs with Greek salad.😘🤌 I don’t generally eat a lot of ground meat but extra lean organic ground bison felt like a great opportunity to switch it up. Ellie had a friend over for supper. They both enjoyed them too. I have 2 more pounds of bison. Should I attempt a healthy Big Mac salad next? 😉
