“sit with me” was written from a place of trying to survive my early 20s. each poem, prayer, and illustration has been part of my processing journey, providing me with space to reflect on my thoughts and experiences. they’re a testament of how God has met me here, despite my struggles and questioning.

with that being said, it wasn’t simply written for those in that season of life. i truly believe it holds lessons that will serve me well in all seasons that come my way. i pray they will do the same for you.

I explore themes of letting go, dealing with fear, carrying too much, redemption, shame, entering worship, the Christian walk, and a few other topics as well.

if any of this resonate with you, i hope you will also join me on this journey of inviting Jesus into it.

🪷SIT WITH HIM🪷
poems, prayers, and reminders 📖
my second book is officially available!!!

this book is an invitation for you to sit with Jesus…no matter what you are walking through in this season.

over the last year or so i have learned that maybe the answers to all my longings and difficulties wasn’t always going to be a clear fix. however, it has been an opportunity to invite Jesus into the mess.

…and just maybe it’s in these moments, when we turn our eyes to Jesus, we are able to sense the Father’s love for us in a deeper, much richer sense. in Him we are able to find peace and strength in the midst of our hardships.

wherever you are in life, know that He wants to hear from you. He desires to sit with you while you go through it, whatever “it” is. nothing you are going through is beyond Him and His love. He is mightier and stronger than everything.

these poems, prayers, and reminders were written for these moments…moments where you simply need to invite Jesus into the conversation.

with love,
danielle

the steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“the LORD is my portion,”
says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

Jesus meets us to exchange our brokenness for living water ✼

“Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans.

She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” “But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And besides, do you think you’re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?”

Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” “Please, sir,” the woman said, “give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.””

He gave up everything. ✝︎

“Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.”
