EPS said in a news release Tuesday that all investigative avenues had been exhausted.

He’s described as a white man in his mid-30s, disheveled with brown hair and a full brown beard. He was shorter than 5’7” and wearing a blue/black flannel with a black shirt and black jeans at the time.

The mark under his nose was believed to be a scab.

Police think the incident was isolated and said there was no ongoing risk to the public.

" An Edmonton high school teacher is facing child po*******hy charges after an investigation that also led to charges against a music tutor he lived with.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) on Tuesday announced charges of possessing and accessing child s*x abuse material against the two men. The investigation began after a tip that someone was sharing illegal content on the social media app Kik.

The accused are Katz Dawson, a 36-year-old teacher at Lillian Osborne High School, and 32-year-old Allan Nelson, who offered home-based music lessons under the name Fiddle & Fugue. ALERT said the two lived in the same home, which officers searched on Sept. 11.

Investigators seized encrypted electronic devices that contained child s*x abuse material, ALERT said.

“While the investigation and charges are related to online offences, the nature of the men’s employment placed them in a position of trust and authority,” the agency said in a news release. “ICE is encouraging anyone with information about this case to come forward and contact police.”

In a statement, Edmonton Public Schools said Dawson is no longer teaching. According to Lillian Osborne’s social media pages, Dawson taught food preparation courses.

“Edmonton Public Schools is aware of charges laid against a teacher at Lillian Osborne School,” spokesperson Kim Smith said in an email. “We are co-operating with police as they investigate.

“The teacher is not working in any division schools or buildings. At this time, we do not have additional details to share.” "
