MICHAEL LA CHIANA- What is behind Real Paranormal Phenomena from my years of Searching The Unknown?
Having always had a fascination with supernatural and ghostly tales I had heard as a child, I wanted to learn more about the unseen world around us. I always enjoyed watching the early 1970's tv shows such as In Search Of, Dark Shadows, The Night Stalker, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and many more. So it was no surprise that I eventually became involved in the Paranormal Research and Investigation field.
While living in North Carolina for the last 25 years, I became very interested in studying the state's rich and haunted history. I always questioned how real paranormal activity could connect with historical locations I had been visiting through the years.
In 1992, I established The Heritage Hunters Society with my long time friend John Brennan, to help find possible answers to the age old question "Do Ghost Really Exist?" And the answer, in my opinion is "Yes" They most certainly do...
Albert Einstein proved that all the energy of the universe is constant and can never be created or destroyed, it must then be transformed into another form of energy. I feel we are all energy based and when our physical body fades, we continue on in many different forms...I have felt static energies and temperature changes at many haunted locations. I have witnessed battery drainage and equipment malfunctions too many times as activity spikes.
Using top notch equipment on locations such as Digital Recorders/Cameras, Infrared, Thermal, Full Spectrum video cams is important. Also having odd personal experiences during investigations is very important as well. Multiple factors help determine what is real data and what is not.
Capturing good photos, videos and audio clips which I then share with other close friends and team members during case review is crucial. We all try to debunk each questionable clip and vote on them to see what the group feels is solid or not.

EDDIE HOWELL - I grew up with ghosts in our house. For years no one would believe me when I would tell them about what I was seeing and hearing. Many years later, I was vindicated as some close friends of mine witnessed a door violently swing open. Also, my Father admitted to me many years later he heard voices talking in my room when no one was home. In 2006 October 30th or 31st myself and 3 other friends decided to start NC HAGS. We started going on Ghost Hunts and soon got EVP's and Pictures as well as actually experiences. In 2009, I believe, we met Michael Lachiana and formed a great friendship.
