To keep not only myself heading into the new year with a positive mindset, but to help others see that they too can work towards overcoming obstacles.
For example, I know that my page Christmas Affordable Gifts was compromised by several people. These people lived in different cities, different provinces in Canada. They created multiple pages from my original page. They also lived in different countries. I can not control the detrimental effects of their actions on my mental health, these people altered the countries that my ads campaigns were to be posted in, they altered my videos, my posts, on all of the social media platforms I was on. They erased the Christmas Affordable Gifts identity that I had worked hard to create, they even changed the settings and stole or deleted my own personal photos of cherished family memories.
Even after all of this, there is one thing that these people can not steal or alter for their own needs and monetary gains. This is my sense of myself and my purpose in life, which is to help others.
I am excited about this new year for with it, I can continue to build on the intentions of my social service project.
Happy New Year everyone! If there is anything that I can say to you to prevent anyone else experiencing what I have experienced, it's this. Never trust completely when you are at the beginning of a project especially on social media. People will take advantage of your creativity and abuse your efforts in any way that they can if they want to and they will do it without consciousness. They will only see what is in for their benefits no matter how much they destroy another’s intentions of simply promoting, supporting and encouraging goodness!
