Day 1 of the Shingwauk Residential School Reunion. Today ended with a birthday celebration for all the children who were denied celebrating their birthdays while at school, all the children who never made it home, and the survivors who are no longer with us to celebrate.

Shingwauk Residential School Reunion is the first in North America. The first reunion held in 1981 by The Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association.
