Many Medicines: The Intersection of Art, Culture, & Healing has officially been released through TELUS STORYHIVE, and was included as a spotlight project in their launch newsletter along with an incredible community of 63 new Canadian and Indigenous video podcasts.
This series was created in NistawΓ’yΓ’w (Fort McMurray / Wood Buffalo), rooted in conversations with Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, artists, and community leaders. It carries stories of land, identity, creativity, and the ways we care for one another.
Thank you to Alexis McDonald, Mitchel Bowers, Claire Antoine, Kaydence Gladue, Lori-Lei Mercredi, and Leona English for sharing their insight, talents, and stories. I carry each of your contributions close to my heart with care and gratitude.
And thank you to McMurray MΓ©tis for their blessing in the creation of this project.
This project was never meant to stand alone; itβs a small part of a much larger conversation about how individual stories are told, how we hold them, and how they move through community. I am so grateful to be surrounded by a system born of love, resilience, and support, and this process has been an absolute honour.
If you have access through TELUS Optik TV or Stream+, you can watch the series now. Wider release will be coming soon, starting June 16th.
Thank you to everyone who trusted us with their stories, their time, and their presence. I have so much love for each of you.
More to come soon β€οΈ
