Halifax native Justin Barron is staying in Nashville.

The 24-year-old defenseman has signed a one-year, $1.575 million contract extension with the Nashville Predators.

A former Halifax Mooseheads standout and first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Barron has now played more than 200 NHL games and will look to earn an even bigger role with the Predators this season.
