🚨 CANADIANS, WE NEED TO TALK. 🚨

Parental alienation is child abuse. Period.

Yet instead of recognizing the devastating harm it causes to children, we’re watching growing efforts to remove or discourage the use of the term “parental alienation” in family court. In my view, that’s the very definition of gaslighting. You don’t solve a problem by pretending it doesn’t exist.

At the same time, Bill C-223 (Keeping Children Safe Act) has raised serious concerns among many alienated parents and advocates who believe it could make it even harder for some parents to raise concerns about alienating behaviours in court. The bill is currently before Parliament and has not become law.

Children deserve relationships with both safe, loving parents. Silencing the conversation doesn’t protect children. It protects a broken system.

Parental alienation isn’t “co-parenting.” It isn’t “protecting” your child. And it sure as hell isn’t love.

When you deliberately turn a child against a loving parent for your own control, ego, or revenge, you’re not protecting a child. You’re using one.

Children deserve the freedom to love both parents whenever it’s safe to do so. Stop weaponizing kids. They are human beings, not bargaining chips.

Did you know children affected by parental alienation can face serious emotional struggles that follow them into adulthood?

But sure… tell me again it’s “just parent drama.”

Imagine being six years old and hearing that the person who helped bring you into this world doesn’t love you, doesn’t care, or chose to leave you. A child’s entire sense of safety and identity can be shaken in a moment.

The damage doesn’t always end when the court case ends or the paperwork gets filed away. Words planted in a child’s mind can become wounds they carry for years.

Children deserve truth. They deserve to love both parents without fear, pressure, or manipulation.

Parental alienation isn’t a custody battle. It’s a child’s emotional world caught in the crossfire.
