🥊🔥 REALWRLD IS HELPING BUILD A NEW MMA CULTURE AMONG PAKISTAN’S YOUTH! 🇵🇰

A new generation of young Pakistanis is stepping away from screens and stepping into the gym — discovering Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as more than just a sport.

For many, it is about fitness, discipline, courage, confidence and character. 💪🔥

The 10th edition of the RealWrld Fight League — “RealWrld X: The Colosseum” — brought together participants from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Multan, along with international participants from the United States.

Held at Brave Gym in Packages Mall, Lahore, the event featured white-collar boxing and MMA, creating an accessible and structured platform for people who may not necessarily be professional fighters.

🥊 THE IDEA IS SIMPLE: MAKE COMBAT SPORTS MORE ACCESSIBLE.

Just as tape-ball cricket has given countless young Pakistanis an easy entry point into cricket, RealWrld aims to provide a similar grassroots pathway into MMA.

For some participants, it is about competition. For others, it is about:

✅ Improving fitness
✅ Building discipline
✅ Overcoming fear
✅ Developing confidence
✅ Testing mental and physical limits
✅ Learning self-control and accountability

And for a few, it could become the first step toward a professional career in combat sports. 🌟

The initiative has been developed under the leadership of Qaim Abbas, with mentorship and support from PAKMMAF President Omar Ahmed, helping RealWrld grow into a multi-city platform.

With the involvement of the Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PAKMMAF), the platform also emphasizes a more structured and regulated environment for recreational competition.

🇵🇰 As concerns grow about sedentary lifestyles, excessive screen time and reduced physical activity among young people, initiatives like this are offering a positive alternative.

Ten editions later, RealWrld is aiming for something bigger than fight nights.

It is working to build a pathway where participation can lead to passion, talent development and potentially elite-level competition.

🏏🇵🇰 AZHAR ALI CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AS PAKISTAN CRICKET FACES TOUGH QUESTIONS

Former Pakistan captain Azhar Ali has delivered a strong and critical message amid the ongoing struggles of the national cricket team, calling for greater accountability from those responsible for key decisions.

Azhar has questioned the role and decision-making of Director High Performance and national selector Aaqib Javed, urging him to take responsibility for the team's performances and “step away” if he cannot help turn Pakistan cricket around.

The criticism comes after recent changes within the Pakistan setup, including a major team overhaul and changes in the coaching staff.

🗣️ According to Azhar Ali, accountability should begin with those making important decisions.

He questioned whether responsibility was being shifted toward captain Babar Azam and the coaching staff, arguing that the people responsible for appointments, selections, and long-term planning must also be held accountable.

🇺🇸 Learner Tien defeated French veteran Gael Monfils 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 at the US Open, ending Monfils’ Grand Slam career and advancing to the third round.

But Thursday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium was about much more than the result.

At 40 years old, Monfils had already delivered one final magical moment in New York, defeating Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in the opening round on his birthday. His run finally came to an end against the 20-year-old American — a clash that perfectly represented the changing of the guard in tennis. 🌟

After the match, Monfils received an emotional video tribute featuring some of his most spectacular moments at the US Open over the past two decades.

What a performance from the Philippines’ rising tennis sensation! Alexandra Eala powered past Ukraine’s Oleksandra Oliynykova 6-1, 6-4 to reach the US Open third round, sending her passionate New York supporters into celebration. 🇵🇭👏

The 21-year-old left-hander produced a composed and confident display, needing just over an hour to secure the victory — despite having lost to Oliynykova earlier this year in Strasbourg.
