Jesus loves you. 👆👆

The kids pointed their fingers at each other and said those words—it melted my heart.

So that Sunday, we talked about the Great Commission and how Jesus instructed His friends to make more friends for Him.

And really, thinking about it that way simplifies evangelism a little bit.

Don’t get me wrong—the Great Commission is a very serious task.
It’s business.

But instead of carrying a heavy mindset about it—and then not doing it because it sounds difficult...
I mean, it’s a big thing to bring somebody from one end of the bargain to another.

So instead of not doing it at all, procrastinating, and waiting for the perfect way to do it,

we can start by seeing it simply: we're making more of Jesus' friends.

That’s the assignment we gave the kids—
Wherever you go—school, church, the street—point at someone and say:
“Jesus loves you.”
That’s simple, right?

And friends, that could be the best thing that happens to someone that day.

Telling them “Hey, Jesus loves you” could tear down their wall of defense
or whatever has been blocking their heart.

So yes, it’s a big deal to be a friend of Jesus.
If you’ve been my friend on social media—or in real life—and you're not already a friend of Jesus,

I want us to take this friendship a notch higher. This is the best friendship ever.

Because Jesus is that Friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Come to Him today.
Jesus loves you. 👆👆

“Oh, that's an ant! I don’t like ants; they’re going to bite me, and it’s going to hurt!”

“No, it’s not going to hurt you. It’s just going on its own, doesn’t even know you’re there.”

This is me and my daughter every time she sees an ant, even the tiniest one on the ground.

She thinks it will hurt her, but I always tell her, “You’re bigger than this ant. You are more dangerous than the ant itself. The ant actually fears you, but you don’t know that yet.”

This is how we react to the situations we face. When confronted with challenges, we think, "This is dangerous. This will be the end of me."

But what if you knew that you are more dangerous than the situation? What if you saw things through the lens of the Spirit, not just your physical eyes?

Our physical eyes see giants, obstacles, and danger. But God says to the mountain, “You will be made as plain.”

You can only overcome situations based on how you see them.

It's all about your position.

I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places, far above principalities and powers.

I have been translated from darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son.

This positions you to take authority over situations, knowing they are tiny ants that you can crush.

So this week, go with this consciousness. Remind yourself of your position in Christ and conquer that situation.

Teacher: (Turns off the lights) How does it feel to be in the dark?

Children: No! It's too dark! It's scary!

Teacher: (Turns on the light) Is it better now?

Children: Yeah, the light’s on. It’s so much better!

This was me and my children in class, learning how God’s word lights up our lives. (For context, I'm a kids' instructor at church).

Imagine being locked up in a dark room for three nights—the agony, the confusion, the fear that grips you. This is what people experience every day in this world without the light of God’s word/Christ.

And the funny thing is, they don’t even realize the effects of living in the dark because they've gotten so used to it. But once someone turns on the light, they see the real difference.

This is why Christians are the light of the world. It is our responsibility to live in the light of God’s word and spread this light everywhere we go.

I don’t have to be on the pulpit to do this. You don’t necessarily need to carry a microphone. If that's already your job or if you can, then that’s perfect. But you can intentionally chip in this word in your conversations.

Through us, many people will stop groping in the dark because we constantly release God’s word to them. Don't wait until you are "preaching preaching."

Make a conscious effort to release God's word. It might light up someone’s day—or their entire life.

Why does anger manifest at times when you are facing trials and difficult situations?

Instead of just sadness or uneasiness, you feel angry.

Someone put it beautifully: we don’t know what to blame when things don’t go as planned.

It's easy to pinpoint why things turn out the way they do. We often say, "This is why I didn’t get the job," or "This is why I didn’t get the scholarship."

“This is why I got laid off,” or “I don’t have money right now.” “This is the reason my relationship has failed.”

It’s simple to identify something or someone to blame—to make sense of our experiences.

When you find yourself angry and unable to blame anyone or anything, it's common to turn that anger inward, sometimes even toward God.

Although we might not say it outright, that blame can be there, lingering beneath the surface.

Sometimes, we say things like, "God, you did this." I’ve sometimes felt that way, wondering why things are happening and thinking God was responsible for my situation.

It can be tempting to blame God, but this is absolutely wrong. God isn’t the reason we face difficult times.

God isn't against us. On the contrary, God is for us. The Bible tells us that no situation comes to man, which is not common in a fallen world.

Jesus did not promise us a life without trials and tribulations. In fact, he told us to expect them, stating, "In this world, you will have tribulations." However, we are reminded that we can overcome because he has already overcome. He said, "Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world."

With this mindset, we can navigate difficult situations, even when angry and uncertain about who or what to blame.

We just need to remember that God is always for us, in every moment. He's working things out for us, even if we may not see it yet.

We judge Him faithful because He is faithful.

So, turn your anger into worship and praise. It may not be easy, but it's called a SACRIFICE of praise.

Just a reminder that it’s okay to be different.

It’s okay to be the odd one out.

It’s okay to be the person that others perceive as always serious and not doing what everyone else is doing.

In fact, start practicing being different (in a positive way, biko kwa).

Because the days are coming when the world wants everyone to agree with them, no matter what.

The Bible refers to us as a peculiar people, so why should we want to blend in with the world?

Why should we get upset when people call us names like "Jew guy" or ask, "Are you the only one who will go to heaven?"

"Peculiar" means to be strange, so it’s perfectly fine to be "strange" in a strange world.

We must not conform to the world; instead, we should be transforming it.
