Here’s the hard truth: a lot of the struggles single Muslims face in marriage today didn’t start in marriage, they started at home. 🏠 When we raise daughters without resilience or sons without responsibility, we’re setting them up to carry those gaps straight into their relationships.

Parents, this one’s on us too. Protecting kids from every hardship might feel like love, but it can quietly create entitlement, dependency, or imbalance that a spouse will one day have to deal with. And for singles, it’s never too late to unlearn and rebuild.

You know we always use fresh lemon juice in every batch of hummus (as well as baba ganoush and fava beans) because quality matters. But lately lemons have gone wild, with prices soaring nearly 60%!

So starting this week, our hummus price will increase by 50¢. Just like we did with Muhammara when walnut prices spiked. This is temporary thought. Once lemons calm down, we’ll adjust the price back.

It’s frustrating when decisions made by people far away.. politicians, suppliers, whoever, affect all of us small businesses and our communities. They rarely think about the everyday impact, but you, our supporters, do. Your understanding and support mean the world and we’re so grateful for it.

We put so much energy into finding the “right person” that we forget… even the right person will annoy you sometimes 😅 Conflict isn’t a sign you picked wrong.. it’s just part of life. What really matters is how you handle it together.

We spend so much of our single years trying to “fix” ourselves for marriage.. like love only comes when you’re finally perfect. But what if the real journey is learning to show up fully as you?

Muslim, disabled, hijabi, not hijabi, convert, born Muslim, divorced, brown, white.. all of that is you. And NONE of it is a liability 💁🏽‍♀️

You don’t need to shrink yourself to be chosen. Marriage isn’t a reward for being more palatable. It’s a partnership that starts with self-respect ❤️‍🔥

Own your story. Embrace your identity. The right person won’t be scared of your fullness, they’ll recognize it as strength 💪🏽
