i didn’t know i’d miss the rain this much 🌧️

i grew up somewhere where it rained a lot, and to be honest, i used to hate it. but now that i live somewhere it rarely rains, i feel so grateful every time i get to feel it on my skin.

it brings back little pieces of my childhood that i didn’t know i missed. swimming in the rain, the sound of it ticking against the windows, the smell of wet trees and mud. for a moment, it feels like i’m right back there again.

funny how you can grow up wanting to get away from something, only to miss it once you do.

rain feels nostalgic to me 🌧️
