Gateway Productions Gateway Productions was founded in 1977 by Tomas Mureika, as an indie film, theatre and music production company.

Gateway Productions has been responsible for over 100 works of film, stage productions and music industry releases since its inception.... Gateway Productions spun off into Dream Park Pictures in 1994 for the production of Tomas Mureika's theatrical feature film debut, "Driftwood" (1994).

Gateway Productions was named after science fiction maestro Frederik Pohl's seminal 1977 novel, "Gateway," which Tomas Mureika ("Driftwood," "The X Generation") wrote a screenplay for back in 1992, which received the blessing of Mr. Pohl for translating this seemingly "unfilmable" novel to the screen. Mr. Pohl passed away at the age of 93 on Monday and will never get to see "Gateway" make it to the silver screen. But, when the budget can be raised, "Gateway" and its sequels will be made in honor and loving memory of the greatest science fiction author ever to live... R.I.P. Frederik Pohl
