🍻 Episode #243: Can You Hang? with Donovan Fast of Eighty-Eight Brewing Company ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

Alberta is one Canadian craft b**r scene that we haven't tapped into enough, so we're fixing that right now - we were stoked to sit down with one of the most hyped breweries in Calgary. Production Manager and Head Brewer Donovan Fast leads the liquid for Eighty-Eight Brewing Co., and he joined Cee and Nathan Does B**r to chat about his international craft brewing career that took him from Manitoba to Germany to Alberta, what he learned from the classic German brewers, how he landed the Head Brewer job before Eighty-Eight opened (and has been the sole Head Brewer in their history), how the Calgary craft b**r scene has grown over the years, how Eighty-Eight went from a Belgian-style brewery to a more modern, IPA-focused brewery and COVID's effect on that decision, the slew of awards they've won, their core-to-seasonal b**r release strategy, his thoughts on Canada-wide distribution and Eighty-Eight's approach, their interprovincial collaborations, how their eighth anniversary went, and the future of the brewery. 🍻 Episode #242: Drink Gold with Prathit Naniwadekar of Aurum Brewing Company ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

One of the newest breweries in Ontario (at the time of recording) is Prince Edward County's Aurum. Meaning "gold" in Latin, their slogan "Drink Gold" is incredibly appropriate for a brewery that focuses mostly on German and Czech-style L***rs and Ales. Co-Founder and Head Brewer Prat joined Cee and Nathan Does B**r to chat about his eclectic b**r history - from India to Ontario, how he met his Co-Founder Joe and how they came across the space that turned into Aurum, why they chose the County and why they focus on the styles that they do, Prat's experiences in Germany and the Czech Republic that shaped what he brews, the beauty of LUKR CZ a.s. taps and educating the public about mlíko pours, the drinking preferences of their locals in the County, how the fellow breweries in PEC have embraced them and collaborated with them, and their approach to distribution. They got into six killer Aurum brews - Rybička 8° Czech Pale L***r, Denní 12° Czech-style Pilsener, Lys French Inspired Pils, Himmel Bavarian-style Wheat B**r, Nü-01 Dry-Hopped L***r, and Sequoia West Coast Pils collaboration with All My Friends B**r Co.. 🍻 WHERE TO DRINK CRAFT B**R IN FRANCE & ITALY | Paris, Nice (French Riviera), Florence (Tuscany), Rome 🍻

The third and final leg of our intense summer 2026 world tour saw us cruise through France and Italy for almost three weeks. 🇫🇷 🇮🇹

While it wasn’t a b**r-focused trip, we made sure we hit up some of the best and most hyped spots along the journey through Paris, Nice in the French Riviera, Florence in Tuscany, and Rome. Overall, we were incredibly impressed with the quality and availability of craft b**r in France and Italy, and we already can’t wait to get back.

🍻 Episode #241: Where The F**k Have We Been? ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

It feels like almost every year we end up taking some sort of a short pause over the summer for obvious reasons, but in 2026, it was a little longer than usual. Both Cee and Nathan Does B**r were off galavanting across the globe, so we figured the best way to ease back into the pod was to run through all the shenanigans they got up to. Here's some teasers to get you going: Nate spent time in glorious Mexico soaking up the few b**r options available, along with sampling a much wider variety of fire in Rimouski and Saint-Flavie in Quebec. Cee, on the other hand, was going nuts in places like California, England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Thailand, Australia, France and Italy. The fellas told some stories from their travels and covered the b**rs they got into, along with some obligatory coffee talk. They got into a gang of b**rs that each represented places they went. Nate cracked Dos Equis L***r Especial, Tecate Original, Le Ketch Dock 151 NEIPA, and Bad Bones B**r Ambulance NEIPA. 🍻 WHERE TO DRINK CRAFT B**R IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA PART 2 | B**r Bar Edition: Fitzroy + Collingwood 🍻

Weren’t we just in Australia? 🇦🇺 Yes indeed we were, but we’re back for the second time in 2026 so we had to shoot another craft b**r vlog!

This time, we were based in two of Cee’s favourite areas of Melbourne - Fitzroy and Collingwood. 🍻 WHERE TO DRINK CRAFT B**R IN THE UK | London, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff 🍻

BAOS in the UK, INNIT!! 🇬🇧 The last time was in the UK was 2004, so this trip was a loooong time coming.

With an extended trip to the UK over the summer of 2026, Cee, and (the pup) visited breweries and b**r bars across London, England, Edinburgh + Glasgow in Scotland, and Cardiff in Wales. We even found Canadian craft b**r on five separate occasions - look out for the easter eggs in the vlog!

General pubs were not included in the vlog as they weren’t specific craft b**r destinations, but we wanted to shout them out as a whole if you find yourself in the UK. Overall, the craft b**r scene in the United Kingdom is genuinely fantastic. Get it in ya!

🍻 WHERE TO DRINK CRAFT B**R IN CALIFORNIA | Anaheim, Palm Springs, Santa Rosa, Napa, Bay Area 🍻

We hadn't touched down in California since before the pandemic, so and were super excited to get back out West and see where the craft b**r scene was at.

We saw a serious chunk of the state, driving from San Francisco down to Corona, then onto Palm Springs, back up to Santa Rosa and all through the Napa Valley and Sonoma w**e regions, down to Santa Cruz and San Jose, wrapping up in San Francisco - drinking craft b**r exclusively from California. It was epic af.

🍻 Episode #240: Unofficial B**r of London with Gavin Anderson of Anderson Craft Ales ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

With their Cream Ale outselling all of the biggest b**rs in the LCBO by around 3-4x in the area, Anderson Craft Ales seem to have the unofficial craft b**r of London, ON on their hands. Founder Gavin Anderson jumped back on the pod after three and a half years to chat about what's been happening since we last spoke, their upcoming 10th anniversary and some of the craziest b**rs they've ever done (including glizzy, roast chicken and pizza b**rs), all of the Anderson classics that they're bringing back from the archives for the anniversary, the evolution of their seasonal b**rs, why they continue to stick with short cans vs tall cans, why their town and neighbourhood is so important to them, the return of the Black IPA, Gavin's personal IPA renaissance, why they're cool with selling mixed packs of b**rs versus forced four or six-packs, and the rise of the Cream Ale. 🍻 Episode #239: Loyalty To B**r with Christian Klaus Riemerschmid von der Heide of Paris B**r Co. ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

It's not every day we get to speak to someone as accomplished as Christian Klaus Riemerschmid von der Heide. Co-Founder of The Paris B**r Co. in Paris, ON, Christian joined Cee to chat about his upbringing in a small town in Bavaria and how the local brewery is a key part of life, why most German breweries had their own malting facility, his unique b**r journey from his first apprenticeship to his Head Brewer position at the esteemed Augustiner Bräu München, his work with Labatt Breweries of Canada, Diageo and even Guinness, what brought him back to Canada, why they choose to grow and control as many of the ingredients as possible, their hop farms, what their sub-brand Tagwerk represents and how the Tagwerk Farm contributes, how he met the legendary Chuck Hahn in Australia, why he'd rather lose a hand than put marshmallow in a b**r, and why he's so dedicated to b**r. 🍻 WHERE TO DRINK CRAFT B**R IN CLEVELAND, OHIO | Cleveland, Sandusky, Columbiana, Chardon 🍻

Cee has never been one for “birthday trips”, but 2026 felt like the right time to start a new tradition. Cleveland, Ohio has been hovering at the top of his list for a minute, so it was the perfect born day spot.

There were two “anchor” breweries that inspired the trip, and the research unearthed a slew of killer breweries, specializing in every style you can think of. From OGs to the new kids in the industrial park, Greater Cleveland has something for every palate and every vibe.
