Gotta give David Dawson some serious credit… this man wheeled a 2012 Triton all year long and somehow didn’t break a single thing. Not a tie rod, not a spindle—not even the body, and that thing is basically museum-quality at this point. I’ve seen brand-new karts come back looking like they survived a tornado, but David? Nah. He drives like he’s babysitting it.

Stats for the season:
• Starts: 10
• Wins: 0 (he swears he was close)
• Top 5s: 10
• Top 10s: 10
• DNFs: 0 (the kart somehow survived him)
• Almost Wins: 2 — finished second twice… professional runner-up energy

Honestly, hell of a year for him. Next year he’s taking some time off—probably to recover from carrying that old Triton on his back all season—but we’re gonna miss him out there. Don’t worry though, he’ll still be hanging around, turning wrenches for me, and I’m sure I can talk him into hopping back in the seat whenever his schedule opens up.

And this kart?
Oh it’s still racing.
