Yesterday, we did a firmware update on our transcoders and for most it seems to be a big improvement.
However, it also seems to have caused a small number of TVs to stop working and unfortunately, we only learned of this around 8pm last night. As I write, it is just after 6am, we’ve already been in touch, twice, with the equipment's maker.
We want to solve this as soon as possible, and for that we need your help. If you have not turned on your TV since 1pm, yesterday (Sept. 24th), please do so as soon as convenient and see if it receives any programs. If it does, that’s great, and you need do nothing more.
If it does not work, we ask that you do a “channel search” on the affected sets, to see if that restores service.
If you need help doing a channel search, please read article #3 under HELP, on our website... LLTVS.ca.
If doing the Channel Search restores things, great! But either way, please let us know, right away, whether the channel search worked or not, and the brand of the affected TV, so we can pass that information on to Sencore. This information will help them sort things.
