Ice The Stigma is a youth-led fundraiser founded by 14-year-old Renee Clanfield to raise awareness and support for youth mental health through the sport of hockey. What started as a personal mission has grown into a community movement combining physical activity, mental wellness, and teamwork.
Now in its second year, Ice The Stigma supports Youth Mental Health Canada and introduces a new partnership with Innovate Hockey and Movement Lab to sponsor two youth players for summer training — connecting the benefits of physical and mental health in action.

This special event reenacts an unofficial truce which took place along parts of the Western Front during the Great War, when soldiers on opposing sides marked the season together. Presented in partnership with History Matters Association, this event will see small groups of visitors led through the Heritage Village to witness historical reenactments at four different spaces and discover what life was like during WWI, including at a replica trench.

These special walking tours will be held on the evenings of November 28th and 29th, 2025. Each experience will last just over two hours, with start times ranging from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Amanda’s journey began in late 2020 after the unexpected loss of her dad. Among the condolence bouquets she received, one stood out—a replica of her bridal bouquet, reminding her of her father walking her down the aisle. Unable to part with it, she saved a single eucalyptus stem to air dry. That small but meaningful act inspired her to create lasting tributes from flowers, and thus Parched Floral was born. Parched Floral specializes in preserving flowers from weddings, celebrations of life, and other significant events. Each arrangement is carefully transformed into a custom art piece, allowing people to hold onto cherished memories in a tangible and beautiful way. Flowers are often tied to life’s most emotional and meaningful moments. By preserving them, Parched Floral helps honor those experiences, keeping love, loss, and joy alive for years to come.
