This morning, while I was at the office, my husband sent me a video showing a fire truck near our building. 🚒

A garbage truck had caught fire, and firefighters responded quickly to control the situation. Seeing something like this so close to home is a reminder that even everyday items can create serious hazards.

One common cause of garbage truck fires is improperly disposed lithium-ion batteries (from phones, power banks, toys, e-bikes, vapes, laptops, etc.).

When garbage is compacted inside the truck, damaged batteries can overheat and ignite surrounding waste.

Fires can also be caused by hot ashes, flammable chemicals, aerosol cans, or other hazardous materials thrown into regular garbage.

A few safety reminders:
✅ Never throw batteries in household garbage. ✅ Recycle batteries and electronics at designated drop-off locations.
✅ Make sure ashes are completely cooled before disposal.
✅ Never place flammable liquids, chemicals, or pressurized aerosol cans in regular waste bins.
✅ Follow your municipality's guidelines for hazardous waste disposal.

Just like that… my little girl turned 4 and started school. 🎒📚🥹

How did these four years go by so fast?

Today was her FIRST DAY… and honestly, Mom & Dad were more nervous than she was. 😭❤️

We kept wondering…
Will she be okay?
Will she make friends?
Will she be happy?
Will she miss us?

When we arrived, she saw a few little kids crying… and suddenly, she felt sad too. 🥺

That little face almost broke our hearts. 💔

We hugged her, reassured her, and reminded her that Mama & Daddy would always be there for her. ❤️

And then… she did it. 🥹👏🏼

She took those little steps into her new world, carrying her tiny backpack and a BIG piece of our hearts with her. 🎒❤️

Today, our baby took her first step toward growing up.

My little girl, may you always be brave, kind, curious and happy. 🌸

India, you will always have my heart — the family, the love, the bond, the care, the togetherness, the endless conversations, laughter, and those little moments that make you feel so deeply connected. 🥹❤️🇮🇳

From a home filled with voices and people to quiet roads, peaceful evenings, and a little more silence. 🤍

One place gives me the warmth of togetherness, the other gives me the peace of quiet.

India is home. Canada is home too.

Two weeks in India 🇮🇳❤️ and one more week to go!

Watching my daughter fall in love with India has been so special. 🥹 She met family, made rangoli, wore mogra flowers, rode an auto-rickshaw, fed monkeys and cows, visited temples, enjoyed authentic food, and created beautiful memories with her grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins. 🌸🛺❤️

She is truly in love with India! 🇮🇳

There was a time when I came to Canada on a dependent visa, wondering what my future would look like.

Today, I proudly booked flight tickets for myself and my family for our India trip with my own hard-earned money. ✈️🇮🇳❤️

To some, it may just be a flight booking. But to me, it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come. It’s proof that with faith in yourself, determination, and the courage to keep going, life can change in ways you never imagined.

I’m deeply thankful to my dad for making sure I received a good education, because that foundation gave me the confidence and knowledge to build my own path. ❤️

And a very special thank you to my husband for believing in me, supporting my dreams, and always standing by my side. Your encouragement has meant more to me than words can express. ❤️🫶🏼

I’m also incredibly thankful for the business I chose to start. It gave me the opportunity to become financially independent, build my confidence, and create an additional source of income that has truly changed my life.

There’s something so beautiful about watching children simply enjoy life. 💦🌿❤️

As parents, we often stop kids from playing with water because we worry they might get cold or sick. But sometimes, we forget that these simple moments are the ones they will remember. 🥹

My daughter was so happy—laughing, playing, getting wet, and enjoying every little moment. And honestly, seeing that happiness reminded me how important it is to let kids experience the world around them.

Let them touch the water. 💦
Let them feel the soil. 🌱
Let them explore plants and flowers. 🌸
Let them watch animals and insects. 🐜🦋
Let them run around on a farm and connect with nature. 🌾

Childhood is not about keeping everything perfectly clean and safe from every little discomfort. It’s about exploring, discovering, getting messy, laughing, learning, and making beautiful memories. ❤️
