Montreal Publishing Company is proud to announce the coming publication of Colclough - Poet debut book - Our Little Agonies, May 1, 2025.

Jen Colclough is a writer, artist, and ESL Instructor from Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds a Master of Arts in Classics from Western and a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University.

Recently, Jen Colclough’s poem, “Connoisseurs of Lightness,” was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her writing has been featured in numerous publications including CRAFT Literary, Tabula Rasa Review, Porch to Porch: A Maritime Haiku Anthology, Heimat Review, ionosphere, MORIA, OpenDoor Magazine, Tidewise Illustrated Quarterly, and Free the Verse. In 2023, her graduate research appeared in the Journal of Ancient History.

Her first book of poems, Our Little Agonies, is scheduled to be released April 26, 2025 by Montreal Publishing Company.

Jen Colclough is a member of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia's Writers Council. In Winter 2024, Jen she held the Shannon Residency at Beinn Mhàbu in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

She is currently writing a historical fiction novel and developing a serial drama for a major streaming service.

"I had not planned on writing a ; it came organically, slowly, as I was finishing my second novel, WHEN I BECAME NEVER. COLD CHAOS, stories from a North, was a for me, in turns out, providing me with a place where more light could be penned, a new opening that helped detach from the heaviness of WIBN. Yes, darkness still floats inside some of the stories, but a much greyer one, I think.
The is set to be at the end of February. A - maybe. All seasons, hopefully:)"
