Thank for such a sweet session A, P + little H! The dense shady forest of Pacific Spirit Park makes for such memorable photos.

I always work with my families to find a location that speaks to them. I find this changes year to year. Some years they are an ocean family 🦀 🌊 other years they are a forest family 🌳 . I’ve even had some families do the playground cause… that’s just where they are at! Family photos need to be as flexible as your busy wild family 🤍🤟🏻

Woohoo! I’m back from maternity leave! 🤟🏻❤️‍🔥👩🏼‍🍼The last 18 months have been exciting fulfilling, exhausting and full of steep learning curves. Learning how to “mom” is a full time job! There are no breaks and an incredible amount of coffee is required. I am happy to report that Walter is doing well and has learned where his bully button is (he now goes looking for yours too!)

I am also happy to report that I will be bringing back my FALL FAMILY MINI SESSIONS! This short’n’sweet photoshoot is an easy way to create a beautiful holiday card.

This year I’ll be running them on October 18 and 19 from 4-6 PM at the STUNNING Cleveland Dam in North Vancouver (see pictured above).

In honour of today’s snow day, here are some pictures of a Vancouver showing its best winter sunshine. I had SO much fun taking these photos of Nicole and her young active family.

The oceanside location was perfect because I got to capture the family doing something they love… beach combing! 🌊🦀

I always try to find an outdoor location that feels special/interesting to the family. A place where the kids will be engaged by their surroundings🌬️✨I find these special places naturally inspire a sense of “awe and “oh!” in their little faces. Some stuff you just can’t fake! 💯

I’ve been laying low and pacing myself lately! I’ve got a lot of on the go and some big life updates coming soon (AH!) I’m not doing any promotion but I am still taking on a small amount of shoots during Winter 2024. I’ve couple limited spots left, inquiries can contact me [email protected] 📸

I’ve been soaking up the sun in Palm Springs after a very busy fall full of photography! It was a great Holiday card season full of old + new faces 🤍 I had so much fun creating sweet holiday photos with you all 📸

So many parents are nervous about the prospect of getting photos done…. Worried that the kids won’t sit still or “behave” long enough to grab a snap. This is real life! Your photos will reflect your life and how your family is today. Sometimes we get nervous smiles, giggles or nose picking 👃🏻👆🏻😆 Other times we take a break to blow bubbles and cool off.🫧 😃 You’ll always be able to look back and your photos and see your unique family exactly as you were/are 💐

Yana approached me a couple minutes before this family shoot was set to begin. She pulled me aside and said “I’ve got a special announcement to make during the family photos… can you capture it?!” You better believe I could!🌿⚡️ We got scheming and established a code word together, so I could be ready for the big moment.

Halfway through the big family photoshoot Yana and her husband Luke let the cat out of the bag. They told everyone they had a big announcement… they were expecting their first child!

Tears, laughter, hugging… joy. Good news makes for fabulous + heartwarming photos. Family love stories are the best love story. ✨🌿 Thanks for scheming with me Yana and Luke!

Sometimes, I think it’s unfair to have a favorite photo in a gallery… But I mean come on! I can’t help it! Every now and then a photo just “sings” in a special way. This photo was one of those favourites. Aside from it being a juice box ad (🤣) I think it’s a great representation of the confident/fun personality this kiddo has at this age! I love family photography cause I’m able to capture fleeting moments, freeze them in time, and make a couple memories for the wall 🌿 I’ve only got a couple spots left for my fall minis at Cleveland Dam!
