The Strongman Corporation Canada Nationals are coming to ExpoCité from September 25 to 27, bringing top strongman and strongwoman competitors together for a massive weekend of strength.

Along with the national competition, the weekend will feature the Strongest Women in Canada, giving spectators the chance to watch athletes put their strength to the test across a series of strongman events. 🏋️‍♀️👀

Fall colours are about to take over the mountains. 🍂⛰️

Owl’s Head in Colours is happening from September 19 to October 12, turning Mont Owl’s Head into a fall destination with four themed weekends of outdoor activities, food and some pretty incredible views.

Take the chairlift to the summit for panoramic views over Lake Memphremagog, explore hiking trails surrounded by fall foliage, then stick around for food trucks, an outdoor bar and BBQ, and live music. 🍁

Each weekend brings something different, starting with family activities before moving into sports, local food and a country-themed Thanksgiving weekend.

One of Broadway’s biggest musicals is coming to Montréal. 🎭✨

The Book of Mormon is heading to Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier for a limited engagement from March 2 to 7, 2027.

The hit musical from Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone has won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and will only be in the city for six days. 👀

And if you want tickets, mark your calendar because single tickets officially go on sale September 18 at 10 AM. 🎟️

Fall in Québec means apple pie, and this festival is serving up around 300 of them. 🍎🥧

The Apple Pie Festival is happening September 20 at the Missisquoi County Museum, bringing together homemade pie, local history and a little small-town fall charm.

Dozens of volunteers come together to bake roughly 300 homemade apple pies for the annual fundraiser. For around $10, you can grab a slice with ice cream and coffee or another beverage. 🍨☕️

While you’re there, explore three floors of heritage exhibits inside the Cornell Mill and Hodge General Store, browse local vendor kiosks and check out family-friendly activities throughout the village.

RuPaul is bringing the dance floor to Québec this September. 👑🎧

The drag icon is currently on tour with a live DJ set packed with house music, disco classics and q***r dance anthems, with two stops coming to Québec this month.

First up, RuPaul will take over Agora Port de Québec on September 18 before heading to Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montréal on September 19. 🪩✨

Expect high-energy tracks and plenty of dancing as RuPaul steps behind the decks for a completely different way to see the global superstar live.

Montréal is about to become the centre of the cycling world. 🚴🌎

From September 20 to 27, the UCI Road World Championships will bring eight days of world-class cycling to the city, and spectators can watch the action for FREE.

Around 1,000 of the world’s top cyclists from more than 80 countries will compete across 13 events, making this one of the biggest international sporting events Montréal has hosted since the 1976 Olympic Games. 👀

The championships attract more than 200 million viewers across 140 countries, but this September, you can catch the action right from the streets of Montréal.

Heads up if you’re getting around the city this month: a section of Park Avenue between des Pins and Mont-Royal Avenues has been closed since September 5 and will remain closed until October 4. The closure is in place for the UCI Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal on September 13 and the Road World Championships the following week. 🚧

A 170-year-old country fair is bringing tractor pulls, horse shows, midway rides and more to the region this weekend. 🐴🚜🎡

The 170th Expo Richmond Fair is happening September 11 to 13, with three days packed with classic country fair fun.

Expect livestock judging with beef and dairy cattle, horses and sheep, plus 4-H displays, tractor pulls, a mini-farm, midway rides, artisan vendors, local food, woodcarving demonstrations, face painting and live entertainment throughout the weekend. 👀

There’s even a chance to walk away with a pretty massive prize. $20 raffle tickets are available for the chance to win a 2026 Chevrolet Trax 1LS or $20,000 cash, with the winner drawn on the final day of the fair.

The festivities actually start a little early with an 18+ Bingo Night on September 10 at 6 PM before the main fair begins Friday.

Montréal is getting three days of skateboarding, BMX, Moto X and more this weekend. 🛹🔥

JACKALOPE Montréal is taking over Quai Jacques-Cartier in the Old Port from September 11 to 13, bringing some serious action sports to the waterfront.

You can watch professional skateboarders and legends take on the massive Vert ramp, plus catch freestyle Moto X and BMX demos, bouldering competitions and calisthenics demonstrations throughout the weekend. 👀

Beyond the competitions, there will be DJ sets, food trucks, pop-up shops and after-parties to keep things going off the ramps.

And you can check out the festival without spending a thing, with general admission to the site completely FREE. Paid passes and experiences are also available.

Calling all movie lovers! 🎬🍿

The Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec is happening September 9 to 13, bringing five days of local, Canadian and international films to screens across the city.

The festival takes over venues including Le Diamant and Cinéma Beaumont with a mix of short films, features and special screenings. And you don’t need a ticket for everything. 👀

Place D’Youville becomes the heart of the festival with free outdoor screenings, giving you the chance to catch a movie under the open sky right downtown. ✨

Montréal is getting its first-ever magical wish lantern festival this September. ✨🏮

88 Fest is coming to the Jardins des Floralies at Parc Jean-Drapeau from September 11 to 13, filling the evenings with glowing lanterns, food, music, games and more.

The festival itself is completely FREE to attend, so you can stop by and enjoy the atmosphere without buying a ticket. If you want to take part in the wish lantern experience, lanterns are available separately for around $32.88 and quantities are limited.

Instead of releasing lanterns into the sky, these use LED lights and helium and stay attached to a tether before being collected after the event. 🌙✨
