For this months employee spotlight, we are celebrating k 🌟 for her contributions in building more equitable spaces in both nightlife spaces and the live music industry through her platform — a woman-led non-profit whose mission is to prioritize equity in education, empowerment, and the celebration of Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other racialized women, femme, and gender nonconforming folks in the music industry.
Seny is a multi-hyphenate music industry professional, working across both the recorded and live verticals of the music biz. Having started her pursuit in music right in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, the Montreal native has worked on several sold out tours and shows and placed emerging artists in coveted music festivals, such as Coachella, Afropunk and Montreal Jazz Festival. She has planned, strategized and executed major digital ad campaigns for artists such as Kehlani, Burna Boy, Benson Boone and Omah Lay (to name a few) resulting in several #1 charting projects in the US and global charts! 📈
Her recent panel at presented on African Women in Live Music: Business in the Global Markets — A powerful conversation which unpacked what it means to build new infrastructure, move through international markets, and lead with cultural fluency and vision — all while navigating an industry that too often overlooks racialized womxn.
Seny continues to be committed to her mantra in developing the future generations of innovative creatives and supporting Black and Brown female artists and music industry professionals find their voice and place. 💚
