Let’s be real: freelancing isn’t for the faint of heart. You’ll get ghosted, underpaid offers, and endless rejections. 😅 But here’s the thing… freelancing gave me something my full-time job never could: freedom. Freedom to work on my own terms, provide extra for my kids, and grow skills I never thought I’d have.

If you’re just starting, don’t expect overnight success. Expect challenges, but also expect growth. Your first “yes” from a client will remind you that all the sleepless nights and countless applications are worth it.

💬 Question for you:
What’s your biggest challenge as a freelancer right now?

3 Quick Fixes to Make Your Online Profile Stand Out
Wondering why clients aren’t replying? Most of the time, it’s not your skills, it’s how your profile looks.

Fix these 3 things today:
1. Profile Photo – Use a clear headshot, smile, and keep the background simple.
2. Title & Overview – Be specific. Instead of “Virtual Assistant,” try “VA specializing in social media + admin support.”
3. Portfolio/Work Samples – Even self-made samples count. Clients want proof of what you can do.

Tip: Clients don’t just hire skills, they hire confidence. Make sure your profile shows both. 😉👌

Ever doubted yourself when you started freelancing? Like… “What if I don’t get clients? What if I’m not good enough?”

Sis, we’ve all been there. The truth? No one feels 100% ready in the beginning. But the difference between those who succeed and those who quit is consistency.

Every proposal you send is a seed. Every rejection is a redirection. Freelancing isn’t an overnight jackpot, it’s a daily choice to show up.

Even baby steps are progress.

How to Write a Winning Client Pitch (That Actually Gets a Yes!)

Pitching can feel scary, but here’s the truth: it’s not about being “perfect”… it’s about connecting.

🌸Start with their problem — let them feel you truly get what they’re struggling with.

🌸Share the vision — paint the picture of what life looks like once that problem is solved.

🌸Offer your solution — show how you can help bridge the gap.

🌸Back it up — real results, stories, proof.

And finally… ask with confidence. Because you know the value you bring.

Clients don’t just say yes to offers, they say yes to clarity + trust.

Show them both, and you’ll win every time.

I started freelancing years ago with no idea how far it would take me. Just a laptop, internet, and late nights after putting the kids to sleep.

Back then, I didn’t feel qualified.
But God doesn’t call the qualified, He equips those who say yes.

So if you’re thinking of starting… go ahead. Even scared. Even unsure.
You’re not too late, and you’re definitely not too small.

The VA industry still growing like crazy in 2025, but competition is also getting stronger.
So how do you stand out? Specialize in a niche clients are actively looking for right now.

Here are the Top 7 Niches for Virtual Assistants in 2025:

1️⃣ Content Repurposing
• Businesses are drowning in content, and they need VAs to turn blogs into reels, podcasts into carousels, and webinars into bite-sized posts.

2️⃣ Podcast Management
• From editing audio to uploading episodes and writing show notes, podcasters are outsourcing more than ever.

3️⃣ Social Media Engagement Specialist
• Not just posting, but engaging with comments, DMs, and community groups to grow brand presence.

4️⃣ Email Marketing Support
• Clients need help with email list management, newsletters, and automation tools like MailerLite, Flodesk, and ActiveCampaign.

5️⃣ E-commerce VA
• Managing product listings, orders, and customer inquiries for Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon sellers.

6️⃣ Online Course Assistant
• Supporting coaches and creators in setting up, managing, and marketing their courses on Kajabi, Thinkific, or Teachable.

7️⃣ Real Estate VA
• Specializing in lead generation, CRM management, and property listing updates for agents, still one of the highest-paying niches.

💡 Tip: Choose a niche that aligns with your skills, interests, and the industries you already have connections in.

If you’re an aspiring VA or a freelancer looking to level up, start by learning ONE of these niches and mastering it. Clients will pay more for a specialist than a generalist.

If you’re waiting to feel ready before you start freelancing…

Sis, let me be honest: No one ever really feels ready.

I started with what I knew. I googled the rest.

What mattered most?
✔ I was willing to learn
✔ I showed up consistently
✔ I delivered with integrity

So here’s your sign:
✅ Start now.
✅ Learn as you grow.
✅ You’re more capable than you think.

“3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Becoming a Freelancer”

Looking back, I would’ve saved so much stress if I had known these early on:

1️⃣ Your mindset matters more than your tools.
Stop obsessing over apps. Focus on showing up, learning, and doing the work.

2️⃣ Clients pay for VALUE, not time.
It’s not about being online 24/7. It’s about getting results.

3️⃣ Don’t be afraid to say no.
Not every project is meant for you, and that’s okay. Guard your energy.

Which of these hit you most? Or do you have one to add? Drop it below ⬇

How I become an Online Freelancer? ❤❤❤

I have worked in BPO centers in Manila for 6 years then I decided to quit my job and started to find a home-based work online. I was actually pregnant with my second child way back then when I decided to quit my job and be a full-time freelancer and a full-time wife and a mom. I didn't have a steady side income to slowly transition to in fact, the only thing I got invested in is my confidence and just a gut, lolz! I am so blessed and thankful that I met a person who introduces me at first to an online home-based job world. I wasn’t prepared at all as I have no idea that the requirement to start with will cost me well not too much money though.

To cut everything short, when I got interviewed, I was so lucky that I get hired and I passed the qualification for me to start. I had been working during the day my whole life in a call center office-based and it became my struggle at that time, the transition was really hard as a rock coz I am not used to working during the night. Well, I have no choice but to embrace it! - and; Starts with history! - projects were coming in, I was able to earn more than I expected. I have worked with different clients from different countries and handled different campaigns. I was able to build a long-term business relationship with my clients. I handled remote agents and processed too many projects to be connected to small-medium size BPO’s here in the Philippines. I have dealt with various projects local and international which taught me to be more professional in this field. Now, I would like to share my experience with everyone who would like to start working as Online Freelancer.
