Flying Chef at 40,000 Feet with Turkish Airlines Business Class

This is my 14-hour Turkish Airlines feast Experience, and it’s got to be one of the craziest Business Class dining experiences I have had onboard an airline.

Flying on this Airbus A350 Business Class on an ultra long haul flight, I quickly realized this was not standard airline food.

Forget choosing one meal.

Turkish Airlines turns dinner into a full inflight dining experience with snacks, Turkish mezze, appetizers, fresh bread, salads, multiple mains, desserts, and drinks all served across several courses.

What makes it even more unique is the service style. Massive meal carts roll through the aisle loaded with options, chefs plate and help you pick exactly what you want throughout the flight.

Honestly, this felt less like airplane food and more like restaurant dining at 40,000 feet.

This is Part 2 focusing entirely on the dinner service.

Breakfast is coming next because somehow the second meal service was equally impressive.

Snoozing on the most luxurious Business Class in Asia

I recently flew the STARLUX Airlines Airbus A350 Business Class from Taiwan, and it is officially one of the most premium flight experiences in the world.

If you are looking for the ultimate long-haul sleep, this fully enclosed private suite delivers unmatched comfort.
The highlight of the STARLUX A350 is the innovative seat engineering.

You can switch between a specialized zero gravity relaxation mode or a fully flat bed.

Once the seat transitions into a flat bed, the crew provides a premium sleep setup complete with full bedding and multiple pillows.

Combined with the soft ambient lighting and the privacy of an enclosed suite, it is incredibly easy to get proper, uninterrupted rest.

The attention to detail extends beyond the bedding to the cabin amenities, including a premium eye mask, toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Even the lavatory reflects the brand’s high standards, featuring refined finishes and unique runway-themed toilet paper.
What truly elevates the experience is the world-class service. The crew is consistently warm, proactive, and efficient throughout the flight.

While it comes at a premium price, this Airbus A350 Business Class product absolutely delivers on luxury and sleep quality.

13 Hrs at Bahrain’s #1 Business Class Lounge

This was probably my longest layover in the past two years.

I was flying Gulf Air Business Class through Bahrain International Airport and had a massive layover between flights. The first thing that genuinely surprised me was the airport itself.

Bahrain International Airport is still relatively new and honestly stunning. Modern, spacious, bright, and incredibly easy to navigate.

Head upstairs to the second floor and you’ll find the Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge.

Check in was fast and friendly, and within minutes I was inside one of the largest Business Class lounges in the region.

The lounge is huge, with multiple zones to relax, eat, work, or just pass time.

Food was genuinely impressive. I especially loved the Mediterranean dishes during dinner service, with plenty of variety throughout the day.

The shower facilities were excellent. Clean, premium, functional, and exactly what you need during a long layover.

There is also a fun side to this lounge. Pool tables, PS5 gaming areas, and entertainment spaces make it easy to kill time during long connections.

But what really makes this lounge stand out for long layovers.

The private suites.

Gulf Air offers private rooms where you can actually sleep and properly rest between flights, and honestly, after hours of travel, this completely changed the experience for me.

That full experience is coming in Part 2.

The Fresh Emirates 777 Business Experience

I recently flew the newly retrofitted Emirates Boeing 777 300ER Business Class on a short flight from Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 to Riyadh King Khalid International Airport.

And honestly, for a flight of around two hours, I was not expecting this much.

From the moment you step onboard, Emirates delivers a phenomenal Business Class experience with warm, welcoming service and one of the biggest upgrades this aircraft needed.

Goodbye 2-3-2.

This new cabin finally introduces a true 1-2-1 Business Class configuration, meaning every passenger gets direct aisle access and their own mini suite style seat.

The new seat feels modern, private, and premium, featuring:

• 23 inch HD entertainment screen
• Fully flat seat controls with intuitive design
• Automated window shades and lighting controls
• New plush headrest pillow
• Multiple storage areas
• Seat Design inspired by luxury automotive interiors

For such a short flight, I expected a snack. Instead, Emirates served a full 3-course meal service, which honestly surprised me. That review is coming in Part 2.

This retrofit completely changes the Emirates Boeing 777 experience and finally brings the aircraft closer to what many travelers expect from a world class Business Class product.

Would you try those capsules?

I recently flew out of King Khalid International Airport Terminal 5 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after a long filming trip and desperately needed somewhere to sleep before my flight.

None of the airport lounges had proper sleeping areas, so I found these futuristic airport sleep capsules inside Riyadh Airport.

They cost 56 SAR per hour, around $15 USD, and I booked one for 3 hours, bringing the total to 168 SAR, roughly $46 USD.

Access was simple. You get an access card, unlock your pod, and walk in.

And honestly, these things are much bigger inside than they look.

Inside you get a comfortable mattress, fresh disposable pillow, smart TV, adjustable lighting, fan controls, fast WiFi, privacy lock, and a do not disturb option. It genuinely feels like sleeping inside a spaceship.

I managed to get a few hours of proper sleep, the area was quiet, and overall I think this is excellent value for anyone with a long layover.

To find them, follow the signs to Sleep & rest zone inside Terminal 5, Inside the Wassan Lounge.

Would you pay $46 for 3 hours of proper airport sleep?

Quick bite and a nap on British Club World

Recently flew British Airways Club World on the Boeing 777-200ER from Buenos Aires to London Heathrow, with a quick stop in Rio de Janeiro.

The first leg from Buenos Aires to Rio is only around 3 hours, so the crew mentioned we’d be getting a lighter snack service instead of a full meal. What arrived was an empanada, couscous salad, and a cupcake.

To be completely honest, the food itself was probably the weakest part of the experience.

But what really stood out was the crew.

Warm, relaxed, genuinely kind, constantly checking in, chatting, smiling, and making the cabin feel comfortable throughout the flight. Sometimes that energy honestly makes up when the food doesn’t.

Exquisite A350 Turkish experience in the skies

I recently flew Turkish Airlines Business Class on the Airbus A350-900 from Istanbul Airport in Turkey to São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil on a nearly 14 hour flight, and honestly, wow. You guys have been asking me to review Turkish Airlines for a long time, and now I completely understand why this airline is considered one of the best Business Class experiences in the world.

After spending a few awesome hours inside the Turkish Airlines Business Class Lounge at Istanbul Airport, I made my way to the aircraft where the crew delivered one of the warmest welcomes I’ve experienced onboard an airline.

I was seated in 1A, my absolute preferred seat on most long haul Business Class flights. Turkish Airlines’ Airbus A350-900 Business Class cabin features a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access for every passenger. What really stood out to me was the design of the seat itself. The curved shell around the seat gives it a private suite style feeling while still keeping the cabin spacious and elegant.

The seat felt compact in the best possible way. Everything was within reach. There were multiple storage compartments, a mirror, adjustable lighting, plenty of personal space, and even premium Denon noise cancelling headphones which retail for over $400.

Shortly after settling in, the onboard flying chef personally handed out menus, and honestly, I’ve rarely seen such a massive dining selection. Turkish Airlines might genuinely offer one of the widest Business Class menus in commercial aviation. More on the food in Part 2 because it deserves its own video.

Then came the Tattinger champagne, refreshing towels, and genuinely friendly service throughout the cabin.

The seat itself was very comfortable, nicely padded, converted into a fully flat bed, and overall the experience felt refined from takeoff to landing.

Part 2 coming next with the full onboard dining experience.

Do you think it was worth it?

I paid $32 to access the Kyra Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport… and this might genuinely be one of the great value airport lounges in Asia.

Located near Gate 23 at HKIA, this lounge comes with massive tarmac views, tons of natural light, fast WiFi, power outlets everywhere, and incredible Cathay Pacific plane spotting right from your seat.

But the real surprise? The food and drinks.

There’s a full cocktail bar with an actual bartender making custom cocktails, plus hot meals, desserts, pastries, salads, wine, draft beer, and one of the best baked pork chop rice dishes I’ve had inside an airport lounge.

The lounge stayed packed almost the entire time, and honestly felt better than some actual airline lounges.

The only things missing are showers and proper sleeping loungers for long layovers. Add those, and this place would be nearly perfect.

For $32 though… absolutely worth it.

Same airline, completely different experience

This is one of the most interesting airline comparisons I’ve ever filmed.
On one side, Etihad Airways Economy Class onboard the Boeing 787 Dreamliner flying from Abu Dhabi to Taipei.
On the other, Etihad Airways Business Class onboard the Airbus A350-1000 flying from Abu Dhabi to New York JFK.

I compared everything side by side:
boarding, cabin atmosphere, seat comfort, legroom, meals, entertainment systems, amenity kits, sleeping experience, privacy, and the full flat bed setup on Etihad’s newest long haul premium cabin.

The Economy Class ticket on the Etihad 787 cost $1,299.
The Business Class ticket on the Etihad A350-1000 cost $7,899.

Both flights were long haul.
Both were operated by Etihad Airways.
But the onboard experience felt like two completely different airlines.

So here’s the real question:
Would you save the money and fly Economy on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, or splurge for the Airbus A350 Business Class experience?

Which one is your favourite?

Years of flying Business and First Class around the world somehow turned into a weird obsession with airline headphones. Some airlines really take their premium audio seriously.

From Bang & Olufsen on Singapore Airlines to premium noise-canceling headsets onboard Starlux Airlines, Saudia, Qatar Airways, and Emirates, the quality difference is wild. Some feel basic, but others honestly feel like luxury retail headphones you would buy yourself for hundreds of dollars.

It’s All in the Details

One thing you notice when flying premium cabins back-to-back is how differently airlines approach the luxury travel experience. Some hand them out in premium pouches, some in elegant hard cases, and others have them waiting at your seat next to the bedding. It is a tiny detail, but it completely changes the unboxing vibe of your flight.

My Top Picks:
• Singapore Airlines (The B&O partnership is elite)
• Saudia (Surprisingly solid noise cancellation)
• Starlux (Incredible comfort for long-haul flying)
Premium airline headphones are honestly one of the most underrated parts of luxury aviation. You only realize how important good audio is once you start comparing them at 35,000 feet.

What’s the best pair of headphones you’ve ever used on a flight? Let me know below!
