You don’t see the forced smiles hiding the heaviness in their chest.

Many people post positivity not because they’re overflowing with joy, but because they’re trying to convince themselves to stay strong.

Behind that cheerful selfie is someone:

battling loneliness,

feeling overwhelmed,

or carrying silent burdens no one notices.

Posting encouragement isn’t always a reflection of where they are; sometimes, it’s a reminder of where they’re trying to be.

Not every 'I’m okay' post is true. Not every 'Keep pushing' quote is from a place of strength. Sometimes, it’s their only way to cope.

So the next time you scroll, remember— A lot of strong posts are written by people who are barely holding on.

Be kind. Check on your strong friends. Sometimes the ones who inspire others need inspiration the most.
