Earth Whispers - Living In the Infinite
Vancouver Island BC is Canada's rain forest - we have diverse species of plants and animals and living here is unlike anywhere else.
There is a different vibration here - that the oceans and the forests provide.

🙏🏻 A Window Into the Infinite

As spring leans toward June, the veil thins for me. This is the season when my sister’s memory returns like a soft tide — twelve years gone, yet never truly gone.

Time folds in on itself.
Some days it feels like forever.
Some days it feels like yesterday.
For a long time, I held grief as a wound.
Now I understand it as a doorway — a place where love continues to speak.

Every year, this rose bush blooms right on cue.
I call her Cherry.
She is my reminder that love is infinite,
that presence is not limited to the physical,
and that those we’ve loved continue to bloom through us.

Living In the Infinite 🐳

A month ago Trudie Ottolini and I took a scenic drive through the forest to the west coast of Vancouver Island, and on that drive we went through vast areas of logged forest.
I can't tell you how it makes me feel to see the side of a mountain completely stripped of its trees. It is heart-breaking.
There has to be a better way. 🌳

🍵 Contemplation:

If you can empty your mind of all thoughts,
your heart will embrace the tranquility of peace.
It observes the functioning of all creation,
contemplating his return to the source.

All creatures of the universe
return to the point where they started.
To return to the origin is tranquility because we submit
to the mandate of heaven.

Returning to the mandate of heaven is called "being constant".
Knowing the constant is called "enlightenment".
Not knowing the constant is the source of bad actions because
we have no roots.
Knowing the constant, we can accept things as they are.
By accepting things as they are, we become impartial.
By being impartial, we become one with heaven.
Being one with heaven, we become one with the Tao.
Being one with the Tao, we are no longer worried about losing our lives,
because we know that the Tao is constant and we are one with the Tao.

Living with intention and purpose brings each moment to an energetic choice:
*embrace higher intentions that uplift us,
*or lower desires that weigh us down.

These higher and lower energies act as the compass of our soul.
