Ever seen Niagara Falls by air? 🛩

📸 During 2020 I rented a plane and flew around the Niagara Region. This pic was about ~4000ft up in a Cessna 172S. The pilot would bank the plane when I was ready for shots as you need to try to shoot as flat to the glass as possible or you'll get distortion from the refraction in the glass. Especially when using a zoom lens.

🔭 As the plane obviously shakes and bounce… you need to shoot a fast shutter to minimize any potential blur... So we are bouncing around, banking 45 degrees (sideways), shooting through glass, and I'm trying to keep the camera as steady as possible while we are flying forward and tracking a target 🤪. It’s like trying to do landscape photography while riding a roller coaster! Ha! What an experience though. Shout out to pilot !

🚁 This area is a NO DRONE zone... it is restricted airspace and super dangerous so please don't try to get an aerial there that way.

3 .mackay Riding Mountain National Park is a national park in Manitoba, Canada. The park is located within Treaty 2 Territory and sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. Consisting of a protected area 2,969 km2 (1,146 sq mi),[1] the forested parkland stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding prairie farmland. It was designated a national park because it protects three different ecosystems that converge in the area; grasslands, upland boreal and eastern deciduous forests. It is most easily reached by Highway 10 which passes through the park. The south entrance is at the townsite of Wasagaming, which is the only commercial centre within the park boundaries.
