Holiday prep is the third shift for working parents. It’s adding another layer of responsibilities when you’re already drowning in day to day chaos of managing work, your household, kids extra curricular, family time amongst other things.

The expectations on mothers especially never seem to settle in general, but they are at an overdrive during the holidays.

I take a couple of days of work to do bulk holiday jobs and clean ups because I refuse to indulge in daily exhaustion of trying to pack hours upon hours of work when I only have maybe 1 hour to give each night max (that comes out of some other time really).

This is how I keep my sanity alive and stress levels down.

(SOUND ON) A week ago, we were hosted by for a stay in their limited time Santa Suite. This was the perfect way for us to kick off Christmas prep! Best Western really nailed the theme and the kids absolutely loved it! From swimming in their indoor heated pool - in a tropical esque courtyard, to relaxing in the hot tub, playing games in the arcade and dinner + breakfast at - it was a perfect family getaway. We wrote our letters to Santa, chilled out and enjoyed every minute of slowing down to have fun.

If you’re visiting Niagara Falls, consider adding to your list of places to stay. And right now till mid Jan, enjoy booking a stay in their Santa Suite.

Highly recommend it!
