Can we talk about something people pretend doesn’t exist?

Starting over… but quietly. Like undercover.

From the outside, life looks calm. Same routine. Same face. Same ā€œI’m fineā€ answer.
Meanwhile, inside? Confidence updating.

People ask, ā€œSo what’s new?ā€
And I’m like… everything, but also nothing you can see.

I’m relearning systems, resetting timelines, and pretending I totally know what I’m doing. Some days I do. Some days I’m just winging it with faith and vibes.

It’s not glamorous. No applause. No announcement.
Just me, minding my business and rebuilding one confused step at a time.

If you’re also starting over in stealth mode, I see you šŸ˜„

Nobody tells you how heavy it feels to chase a degree while carrying a lifešŸ“Œ

I was pregnant with my daughter during my master’s program in the UK. We all know how hard it is to survive as an international student in the diaspora.

That season tested me in every way. Between home responsibilities, pregnancy fatigue, and academic pressure, doubt became a regular visitor.

The only quiet time I had to study was at night. Peaceful, yes. Easy? Not at all. Sleep became optional, and my body was constantly negotiating with my goals.

What kept me going was one hard truth I had to repeat to myself:
ā€œIf you don’t help yourself to study, nobody will.ā€

I said it out loud whenever my strength dipped. And somehow, I made it through. I graduated with an Excellent Grade.

The lesson is simple but real: >>>> No one is coming to save you. You have to show up for yourself.

šŸ“
A mother’s story of strength & perseverance.

One thing nobody warned me about living in Canada is how quiet success can be...

Back home, progress usually makes noise.
People see it. Comment on it. Sometimes even announce it for you.

Here, it’s different.

You’ll see someone take the same bus every morning, wear the same jacket for years, say very little… and then casually mention they just bought a house. Or finished school. Or started a second business. No long speech. No big reveal.

Success moves softly here.
No applause. No rush to prove anything.

At first, it can mess with your head. You start wondering if you’re behind because nothing around you looks loud or flashy. Everyone seems… normal. Calm. Unbothered.

But then you realize something.

People are building quietly.
Healing quietly.
Saving quietly.
Growing in ways you don’t see on the surface.

And maybe that’s the lesson.
Not every win needs an announcement. Not every season needs an audience.

Sometimes, life is working. Even when it looks silent.

Does quiet progress ever make you doubt yourself too?

Don’t let anyone pressure you to move faster than your own pace.

Don’t let looking sideways rob you of the joy you still have.

And please don’t give up just because things feel heavy right now.

That season stretching you? It’s also shaping you, even if it doesn’t look pretty yet.

You’ve already come too far to turn back now.
So keep showing up.
Keep trusting the process.
Keep the faith.

What you’re hoping for is nearer than it feelsšŸ’ŖšŸ½ā¤ļø

It’s 11 days to Christmas and I still haven’t gotten my Christmas dress....

I remember when Dad would get us matching ball gowns and koikoi shoes to go with them. And of course, sunglasses and moromoro head šŸ¤£šŸ˜†

Those Christmases were something else.

What Christmas tradition from your childhood can you never forget?

Let’s hear it. šŸŽ„āœØ

See what heat did to the fresh uha leaves my mum got for me… honestly, I almost cried.

How do you all bring in fresh uha without it spoiling on the way? 😭

My home and abroad people, help me understand this thing, please.

And to think it was only in the bag for two days, wrapped in newspaper the whole time!

Guess who we're expecting in our home today 😃
Decided to make some delicacy for that person
