Some people collect shoes…..I love my Scissors. These are only a few of the various ones I have. Today my workroom looks like a bomb went off, but I was determined NOT to use the wrong scissors. I needed to cut some padding and spent several minutes looking for the ones on the left - the workhorse ones from .industries that I purchased a couple of years ago. They are amazing!!! Some may say I wasted time searching for them but anyone who has a workroom knows the right tools for the right task can actually SAVE you time in the end. Hope everyone is staying “sharp” and having an amazing day!! 😬

Slanted ceiling in new build. All other slanted ceiling on other walls have valances level so we can do ripple folds per client’s request. To the best of my knowledge we can have any kind of operable drapery on these windows. I’m suggesting to the client, motorized Roman shades. Any other suggestions?? Your comments are appreciated.

Not sure if the pictures show it well enough, however…hoping for some suggestions. Measurements for this island cottage were done back in January when construction was incomplete. Both floors have sloped ceilings but the valances (not sure that is the right term) on the first floor were NOT sloped. When we go upstairs to hang track, we discovered that The tops of the windows are ALSO sloped like the ceiling 8” difference from left to right across the 6 windows. Client wanted 3 ripplefolds fixed left so as not to interfere with the windows that open in. What do I do now???? Any suggestions? Is there any way to hang functioning draperies here???? I’m not thinking so.

34 years ago today, I married my best friend. It was a spectacular day, just like today. On this Mother’s Day, I am reflecting on just how truly blessed I am. We have 2 incredible children, 2 beautiful grandchildren with another on the way, many great friends, and a new home on a beautiful lake. Together, we have endured many loses, but through it all, we have supported each other and we have built a wonderful life together. All those years ago, I managed to meet such an incredible man, on a blind date (Thanks, Karen). With each year that passes, it just gets better and better, and I know there will be much more to come. I love you Peter….”to the moon and back.”
