๐Ÿ“›New Video Is LIVE On Our Channel!๐Ÿ“›
In this video Rob and I take you on a bit of a scouting hike, looking for new places to camp and fish. We find a trail that is listed on one of the apps we use, and we follow it as far as we can. Eventually we reach the spot we are looking for and need to turn around to find a good spot to do a little blind test. Rob cooks up something that both Canada and USA pride themselves on and we decide which country does it best. Would love to know your own opinion in the comments below the video. Hope you enjoy the video.

Welcome to part 5 of our trip across Newfoundland! We are excited to share our cod fishing trip with you. Rob's Uncle Mike and Aunt Maureen pick us up bright and early with their sons fishing boat for a day full of cod fishing. I have always wanted to try fishing for cod with a traditional hand line, and we got extremely lucky that one of the only nice days we were on the island fell on a day that we could go fishing. Newfoundland has different fishing regulations than Ontario and the regulations said that we could only fish on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Not only did we only have 3 days to fish while we were there, but we also had to consider the weather. 2 of the 3 days we had far too much wind to be out on the open ocean water, so we got SUPER LUCKY to get out on the water, and we thank Mike and Maureen for taking us out!! We appreciate them SO MUCH for this memorable fun day!! We tried to really capture the best moments of the adventure, so we hope you really enjoy this video.

Welcome to Episode 4 of our epic trip across Newfoundland. In this video Rob and I take you to Nanny's Hole by Twillingate Newfoundland. We find a free campsite right beside the ocean. We set up camp, have a look around the abandoned copper mine, make a quick lunch and then head out on the beautiful hike to Nanny's Hole. After checking out Nanny's Hole we head on through the next trail where we find the local lighthouse. After checking out the lighthouse, we find ourselves pretty hungry, so we head on over to Pier 39 for a pretty amazing dinner. As we are having dinner the weather continues to get worse. The temperature drops and the North Easterly wind starts to pick up. After dinner we head into the tent to get out of the wind and rain. Around 2am we are woken up by 55 mile an hour winds and rain almost folding our tent inside out with us in it! We had a bit of a wild night!

In this video Rob and I take you on a boat ride to a ghost town and abandoned fishing and whaling community on the coast of Newfoundland. The only way in, is by boat. We look around at what is left of the community of Beaverton and give you a bit of the history. After visiting Beaverton, we head on over to the Beothuk Interpretation Centre where we take a peek around in the museum and then adventure off to check out the 1.5km hike that leads to the village site where the Beothuk people lived 300 years ago. During our hike, we come across a small overgrown trail that Rob used to use when he was a kid to access a remote brook trout pond. Aside from this trail, there is no other way at make your way into this small pond. Hope you enjoy the video and learning a bit of Newfoundland history and the area in which Rob grew up in.

Rob and I get up and head out of camp by 7am and head towards Gander Newfoundland. The drive will take us 6 hours to get there, and we are a bit skeptical and stressed out because our truck is giving us some strange problems. As soon as we get on the highway, we see a large moose right in the middle of the highway. The moose didn't stick around. She made her way into the bush pretty quickly as we made our way towards her. She's too quick to get the camera out and catch her in the act.
6 hours later we arrive at Gander. We head straight to the Ford dealership to pick up the part we are hoping will solve the issue... After installing the part, we now know the problem is bigger than what we had first thought. We figure our way around the issue and continue on to Louis Gee's to grab a giant Halifax Donair. This is a spot that Rob used to frequent when he was a teen and it was spot on!! Next, we head to D***o Run Provincial Park where we are spending the night tent camping. The next morning, we head into Boyd's Cove, about 45 minutes' drive from D***o. We are heading to Boyd's Cove because we will be spending 4 nights at Rob's Dads traditional Newfoundland summer home, which is also an AirB&B. once we are settled at the home, we take you to the edge of the ocean and take a look around for mussels. After mussel foraging we head back to the AirB&B and Rob makes a delicious steak dinner.

Since we have been our adventuring for the last 3 weeks we decided to release the first episode of our Newfoundland Road Trip early!

Rob and I take you from Ontario, through Quebec, New Brunswick to Sydney Nova Scotia. Along the way we are greeted with beautiful sunrise, lots and lots of construction and beautiful scenery. We stop along the way to make a tailgate lunch, take you out for dinner, stay at a cheap hotel and set off on our second day to meet our ferry crossing. Just before meeting our ferry, the truck decides to give us troubles are we aren't sure if we are going to be able to get moving again. After a bit of stress and limping the truck along we manage to board the ferry.
Hope you enjoy the video!

Rob and I set off on the Ottawa River at McLarens Bay. We head south on the river looking for campsite for the weekend. After paddling 11kms and checking out a few campsites on our map we finally find the small sandy beach on the edge of the river that we were hoping was available. We arrive, set up, make a fire, start making dinner when a pontoon boat full of people decide that they should pull up on our obviously taken campsite for an "awkward swim". After our uninvited visitors leave, we continue on with our lovely evening. In the morning, I make breakfast. Just after breakfast we get a severe thunderstorm warning stating to expect it that afternoon, so we quickly clean up our site and get on the water to beat the storm. We stop along the way and check out Porcupine Creek and we do some fishing. We get lucky and I catch a keeper! ๐Ÿ‘‡We hope you enjoy the video!๐Ÿ‘‡

Rob and I take you out to a teeny tiny unnamed lake where we assume we would be fishing for brook trout, but it turns out to be catfish. We meet up with a nice couple who watch our channel, cook a couple of meals, collect firewood and fresh mushrooms and of course, catch some catfish.

Rob and I take you north to find a crown land camping spot for the night. We knew of a risk of thunderstorm later in the day, but we didn't know the risk of thunderstorm would be upgraded to a tornado watch. The morning and early afternoon were wonderful. We did some exploring on Glasford Lake, did some fishing, and took a much-needed swim to cool off. Once dinner time came, we set up a tarp as the nasty storm rolled in.
