Canada has become a haven for foreign gangs, including Chinese Triads.

They launder their money, and manufacture drugs here for domestic consumption and export to other countries.

Our banks are reliant on the money laundering activity.

Our government, is passive and possibly complicit.

Also, in the case of Tim Horton's there might have been several other factors at work. Horrible service and repulsive offerings seem to have played a role.

Gladly, there are many excellent local coffee ships that hire Canadian who will be glad to have the extra business as the abomination we used to love fades away.

If they could keep drugs out of jail, they could end the drug problem.

And, of course they could keep drugs out of jail, but they don't. Instead they enable it.

If they enable addiction in jail, they release criminal addicts back on the street after they have served their time.

What the criminal addicts do next is fully predictable.

How about draconian penalties for dealing hard drugs with the only possibility of being released while still alive coming from cooperation in convicting other dealers in the supply chain?
