✖️ MISSING NANAIMO MAN FOUND DEAD - CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY ✖️

Nanaimo RCMP have launched a criminal investigation after the body of 23-year-old Mahadi Redwan was discovered Wednesday along the southbound side of Highway 19A.

Redwan had been missing since November 2 and was last seen on surveillance at Thrifty Foods on Turner Road around 8:00 p.m. before disappearing.

Police now believe he died that same evening around 8:15 p.m. The highway was shut down as investigators combed the area for evidence and treated the discovery as suspicious.

Anyone with dash-cam footage or information from November 2 is urged to contact Nanaimo RCMP and reference file #20205-35331.

🔹Remains of missing man discovered during ex*****on of search warrant on Middle Road🔹

The remains of a man missing since the spring of 2024 were recovered last week during an ex*****on of what police described as a drug-related search warrant at a Middle Road mobile home.

The family of Kielan Hall, who went missing in spring of 2024 at the age of 23, has confirmed West Shore RCMP made the discovery last week. No further details from the family will be released, a statement reads.

Update from West Shore RCMP:

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the body of missing person Kielan Hall, was located by police during the ex*****on of a search warrant at a leased home within a mobile home park, located on Songhees Reserve lands.

The original search warrant was in relation to Drug Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. However, the discovery of human remains lead police to execute an additional search warrant on the same property.

Since the discovery, investigators have been able to confirm the identity of the human remains as being missing person Kielan Hall.

The circumstances surrounding Kielan Hall’s death are being investigated by Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU). As this is an ongoing investigation no further details will be released at this time.

On August 30, 2010, Sonia Varashin went missing and was murdered in her home in Orangeville, Ontario. Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement, her case remains unsolved. Police believe someone out there has crucial information that could help solve her case.

A $50,000 reward continues to be offered for the information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Sonia’s murder.

Kielan Hall is still missing! Kielan was reported missing on March 13, 2024 and has not been seen since a now confirmed a sighting of him leaving a residence near Cooper and Admirals roads in Saanich, BC, near Admirals Walk, at 6 a.m. on March 14.

Kielan was on foot and wearing a black zip-up Nike jacket, dark-coloured long pants, black and white Air Jordan shoes, and a dark-coloured Atlanta Braves hat, police said.

He is described as six-feet tall and about 180 pounds with blue-grey eyes and short brown hair. He has several tattoos, including a black widow spider with a web behind his left ear, a melting smiley face on the inside of his right forearm, a devil tattoo on his chest, and a newly tattooed dollar sign on his left thumb.

Police ask annyone with information about Hall’s whereabouts to contact Saanich police at 250-475-4321 or via [email protected]. You can also join the Facebook group Finding Kielan Hall.
