🍂 The Navan Fall Fest is on at the Navan Fairgrounds on Saturday from 11 AM - 3 PM. This free event features a pumpkin decorating contest, scarecrow making, line dancing, crafts, silent auction, BBQ, photo booth, firefight show, tug-of-war, pie auction and so much more!

🌳🌲 Join City Councillor Laura Dudas for Tree Planting on Saturday at 9 AM. If you are interested in volunteering, email Laura directly at [email protected].

🐈🌭Community Alley Trappers invites you to their Cat BBQ Fundraiser and Bottle Drive from 11 AM - 2 PM on Saturday. There will be hot dogs and drinks available. All proceeds from the BBQ and bottle drive go towards the care of their rescued kitties, TNR program and more!

🌻 The Heart of Orléans BIA features over 120 local vendors - showcasing the best of the best: baked goods, breads, cheeses, fresh produce, jewelers, soap makers, wood workers and so much more! On Sunday from 9:30 AM - 2 PM.

✂️ Kūlt The Salon is celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary with a Block Party on Sunday from 12 PM - 4 PM. Bring your family, friends and all the good vibes! Enjoy some delicious food and dessert for local Orléans vendors include Juice Dudez, La Ha Tacos and The Charcuterie Society! Live music from DJ Matto. Take some photos in the photobooth and bring your kids for some face painting. 🎨

🎨 Feed the City! Paint Nite Fundraiser - Moose McGuire's Orleans is hosting a Paint Nite event where you can grab a drink, and let your creativity flow as you are guided step-by-step to create a masterpiece! $15 of every ticket goest to Feed The City

💗 The Orléans Multicultural Festival is on at Aquaview Park on Satuday.

🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️💨 The annual Orléans Terry Fox run starts at Sir Wilfred Laurier Secondary School on Sunday from 8 am - 10 am.

🐕 City Councillors Laura Dudas and Catherine Kitts are hosting their annual dog swim at Bearbrook Outdoor Pool from 5 pm - 6 pm.

Time to showcase a wonderful local gastropub in Orléans - Taproom260 located at 260 Centrum Blvd📍

If you haven’t been to this amazing Gastropub, you owe yourself a visit! Terrific food, amazing atmosphere and more drink options 🍸 than you can shake a stick at! Taproom260 is a great place for hosting events and meeting friends and family for all kinds of celebrations. They have 24 taps featuring local craft favourites, domestic and international brews. 🍻

They host a range of special events and theme nights, including trivia nights, music bingo, and comedy nights. Upcoming THIS FRIDAY (Sept 12th) it’s Friends themed Trivia night! 🧠 Test your knowledge on Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe while enjoying tasty food, drinks and laughs with your friends.

We visited last May for the Mother’s Day Brunch, and the food, served buffet-style, was beyond our expectations! Check out our review (link in comments) to learn more about our experience.

🥖TASTY TUESDAY! 🥐
Welcome to our new weekly feature. We’ll be highlighting our Food Spot reviews, to hopefully help you discover some nearby treasures!

A favourite for us on Saturdays (well and frankly any day - though note they are closed Sunday to Tuesday), is The Black Walnut Bakery. Sure, it’s technically not in Orléans, but we love this place so much we definitely wanted to tell you about it! Everything we’ve had there is fantastic, the service is always top notch, and you take a scenic drive to Cumberland Village along the river to get there! 🤩

This bakery boasts an incredible selection of breads, pastries, pies, soups, salads, quiches, drinks and so much and more! They even have HOMEMADE ICE CREAM (the basil 🌿 blueberry🫐 flavour is soooo delicious, swipe to see a photo), and this summer, they’ve been doing pop-ups offering fresh scoops! (Note ice cream scoop pop-ups switching to Saturdays in September!🗓️) They have a great online pre-ordering option if you’re wanting to guarantee something particular (especially if you’re wanting to scoop up one of their special seasonal offers, as they tend to sell out - speaking of which don’t miss their beautiful lemon meringue pies, 🥧 🍋 available to preorder now!

Black Walnut is a locally-owned family-business that recently went through a major upgrade and renovation while continuing to be popular among locals.
